All guts. I remember reading how distraught he was when he got pulled out of the Manila he really would
have preferred to die in the ring then be saved. The way he slapped his head and clapped his gloves after being knocked down by Foreman made my hairs stand up he thought he was gonna win till the last second of a fight.

He's the greatest to me, has perhaps the strongest heart out of any champion. Deserves more recognition among his contemporaries, just a statue in Philly isn't enough and his gym should have been preserved. Definitely recommend his autobiography since there hasn't been any movie of him.

As for fights you have the obvious trilogy with Ali which Joe had the best moment out of all those fights, the first Foreman and Bonavena fights displaying his heart, and his great rise during the Mathis, Quarry, and Ellis fights. Quarry II is also a fight worth checking out and dispels any criticism of him being a one-handed fighter.

Nobody ever had more heart and willpower than Joe. George could have knocked him down a dozen more times and he’d have still kept getting up.

    RIP champ. I miss you.

His skill, accuracy and precision get highly overlooked. His hook during his prime was a lightening fast whip. Perhaps the most brutal body puncher in heavyweight history. He was relentless committed to inflicting pain downstairs like a kidney stone on Meth.

The Man had to be a nightmare to fight for anyone who didn't have "wrecking balls in them gloves" as George Foreman did. Last time I checked there was only 1 George Foreman.

He was a better more refined version of Marciano IMV without losing the aggression.

I think a peak Frazier would’ve been somewhat competitive with Foreman.

I agree he would have gave him more trouble if he was focused and hungry.

In addition to everything said, from what I've read seems like a great family man and father too, which is rare for great champions

To me FOTC Frazier stops Foreman in 8..though kds would be suffered. George would run outta steam while Joe starts smokin.

Mm. I think that's a deep statement to make when we have seen Frazier diced up with relative ease.
