Whyte has a punchers chance but he has a few massive flaws which lead me to believe this will end up in a stoppage for him. The most important being his stamina, in every fight I've seen Whyte in he looks like he could topple over from round 9 onwards. You just cannot expect to beat Fury if this happens and when Fury starts to see Whyte tiring he will be all over him imo and the fight will get stopped quickly.
Once Whyte's in the ring he's always game. He's shown us that many times. Add in the all important fact it's a title shot and ordinarily you have to 'assume' he'll be up for it and be at his very best. However, considering his lack of head movement and poor footwork he has zero chance of out boxing Fury, his only way to possibly win is to stop Fury...go to war. Whyte's stamina isn't always the best either. The best I can give him is a punchers chance, he's got a good left counter punch with decent power. If Fury's gonna walk him down like he did with Wilder and go full Kronk, then Whyte at least has some opportunity to make it a war. For the record, As long as Fury's 100% both mentally and physically I'm expecting Fury to dominate, punish and stop Whyte period. But we all know it's heavyweight boxing, one punch can change everything.
Fair assessment, another thing I've found with Whyte is he never looks totally in control of his body for some reason. Watching his fights it seems like his balance is bad or something.
Totally agree mate and I forgot to mention that fact. He does tend to 'teeter' at times as if he's hurt but he's actually not. It's just his terrible balance. Probably not relevent but for a big bloke he's got very small feet.
I don't get why people think working the body is a good way to beat Fury. His layers of fat gives him loads of protection. The guy gets his ribs pounded by medicine balls for fun.
Whyte is a bell*nd but he is tough and game and will come out swinging. It will be a fun fight for 5 or 6 rounds. Whyte will then be spent and gets stopped before 10.
Yeah I think so. My prediction is a helter-skelter opening 4 or 5 rounds before Fury takes charge and brutalises him. I can definitely see Fury getting caught with some big shots though, I reckon he might even get knocked down.
Chisora also has great stamina. Whyte's got more quality in his shots, but no real intelligence in his head movement. I don't see Whyte surviving long.
Think people just assume because it's a "big target", but I've also never really seen Fury rattled by body shots. Wilder was hammering his body as hard as he could in the third fight and at times Fury barely looked like he even registered the hit.
Whyte has very long arms and he has a good jab. He can reach Fury's head. Whyte is very powerful. Fury is frequently knocked down. I see the fight 50-50 and Fury will be down at least once 100%.
He may have reach advantage, but I'm trying to say a shorter guy with a long reach can use his jabs more effectively against a tall boxer. He can dodge the shots and go for the knock down. Whyte has that knock down power. He also has a great weapon in his arsenal: short left hook which has knock down power. He may use it in close range brawls where Fury is trying to grab him. I'm 100% sure he is training his ars.e off to be effective against the weak points of Fury's style, he and his team is probably working on all possible scenarios on how to KO Fury. That's why he is not wasting time with press conferences and Fury's trash talks. He is taking this fight very seriously, it's his last chance, and he has a high chance of winning this. He is also still in his prime years. On the other hand Fury seems like he is taking Whyte lightly. It's not smart to be so arrogant before fighting such a dangerous boxer like Whyte, because Whyte is taking this fight very seriously. We may watch another AJ vs Whyte, or Usyk vs Whyte for the undisputed heavyweight championship, if Fury insists on his arrogance.
Nothing I've seen from Fury indicates he is taking Whyte lightly, he has given him a lot of respect in interviews and has been back training for a while. His trainer did an interview the other day where he said you will see a much fitter/more muscular Fury for this fight than Wilder 3. Fury might say things like 'Whyte is a heavy bag on legs', but it's purely for banter etc.
