Not a movie I feel strongly enough about to fervently defend. I'd been faintly aware of the hype around it, but that didn't really penetrate my sphere, other than my girl mentioned her interest in it a few times before I looked up a torrent and gave it a whirl, only delving into the content of the rave reviews after having seen the movie. I was entertained enough on initial viewing to grant it a 7/10, but it's certainly not as profound or clever as its most enthusiastic supporters have cracked it up to be, and it didn't prove high in replay value by my estimation. That I can't think of a single reason why I'd reach for it instead of Billy Liar or Dodes'ka-den sums up the limits of my enthusiasm for the film (Shoplifters was a great deal more affecting and made much more of a case for itself in that respect).

I can't assess a film as truly valuable (very good to great) unless it makes me want to own it. I never thought about buying a copy of Parasite.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for filet mignon, so when I bite into it and it ends up tasting like a dry flavorless cheap imitation, I'm profoundly disappointed. But sometimes I'm in the mood for a big greasy disgusting plate of chili cheese fries, so when I get exactly what I paid for, which is a big greasy disgusting plate of chili cheese fries, I'm happy as a ****ing lark. I think the problem is, there's a whole lotta people expecting a big greasy disgusting plate of chili cheese fries will taste like a top of the line filet mignon.

    Ha?
    They all are.
Arguello publicly opposed them in the 80s because he could and well…he eas Arguello.
Once his career was over and he had financial difficulty he was more or less forced to ve a mouthpiece for them.He was even put as a puppet mayor or Managua.
He was disgusted by himself and I suspect it jad something to do with his death.
Mayorga was largely neutral or uninterested in politics until his 2004 **** case just before the Trinidad fight.Ortega got him off and he has been a Ortega mouthpiece ever since even “donating” part of his purses to the cause.
His very next fight after the **** case he wore Sandinista colours.
Chocolatito has always been with them.

@CST80 is the changing to nicknames in RBR titles lately because of the stupid thing where copyright holders are dinging forums with false-positive alerts for 'illegal streams' because of poorly calibrated hair-trigger search term bots?

Can the owners here just understand that if they just ignore these strikes, they'll be fine, because to actually get sued there would need to be a) substance to enough of the false alerts to be provable in court, and b) enough motivation by the copyright holders to waste resources on taking it to court instead of going after, you know, illegal streaming websites? Extremely unlikely that both conditions would be met. Chicken Little paranoia. OH NO A STRIKE. It's like the ****ing tag on sofa cushions that says do not remove. Ignore; will be fine.

So dumb what cowards they act like over this. Deleting entire RBR threads wholesale, just ridiculous. :shakehead:

These ninnies keep hard-deleting whole RBR threads, for literally no reason, because they're paranoid they're going to get sued over basically mistakes by a stupid automated script run by lawyers for networks.

It's just a preemptive attempt by me to avoid their wonky misfiring wildly inaccurate dip**** bots. Thus far it seems to be working. I usually change the thread title back between 2 and 3 days after the card. Since they seem to love snagging the RBR's the next morning after the show, also it tends to be DAZN cards.

Wait - so how does this work, the bots are somehow able to edit/delete forum contents? It hasn't been this place's owners doing it manually in response to every little strike notice they get?

Why on earth are they giving external powers those kind of administrative permissions? Especially when they're so frequently wrong? :dunno I mean, either way it's silly, whether they're deleting everything themselves in a knee-jerk reaction or letting copyright holders' bots do it cart blanche - the latter idea just seems wild to me.

No, the site is still the ones deleting them, after the threads keep getting tagged. Even though The Professor and I scan them over thoroughly, it's never due to an illegal stream or anything that could be viewed as an such. So there's a possibility that it's just triggered by and overreacting to thread titles themselves.

So maybe a new system/policy is called for? Disable the site's automated bots, and ignore strikes if they have no immediately provable credence? Probably asking way too much. :sisi1
