I have 4 in my mind. Atg Jofre, big hitting Acelino Freitas, forgotten man Miguel de Oliveira and most recently Patrick Teixeira. Am i missing anyone?
Five males. Jofre, Freitas, De Oliveira, Teixeira, Pereira. I interviewed them all for my Jofre book too. Unfortunately de Oliveira passed away, coincidentally when I was with Jofre in October. They were good friends.
Yes, he wasn’t champion for long, but a good, honest pro and had a good career. Some say he’s Brazil’s #2, I’d go with Freitas, although I think Servilio de Oliveira, if not for his eye problems, would have been #2.
Yes, Sir. Unfortunately there weren't many...... Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela are way ahead as far as South American boxing goes. Luis "Luisão" Ignacio from way back in the day was one of the most known guys btw, he is top 5 at least, fought Archie Moore, beat Gregorio Peralta, Mauro Mina... people knew who he was in his day. https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/12485 Others would be: João Henrique Sebastião Nascimento João Mendonça José Severino Fernando Barreto Juarez de Lima Manoel da Conceição Felipe Cambeiro Edmundo Leite
