Is Clenelo Going To KO Golovkin This Time???

I'm a GGG fan but he has had his time in the sun and these last few years he has just coasted his DAZN deal to try and get the Canelo triology fight with very little resistance in the middle.

I hope we get Canelo-Beterbiev instead in September personally but it looks unlikely if the Smith Jr fight is in late June. It will give Beterbiev very little prep time for Canelo.

 

Less weight cutting at this age - plus an overall slower Canelo - might work to GGG's advantage.

Canelo has less output than he did previously. He fights in spurts and he trains for explosive bursts (weights) and that will have an impact on his knees and ligaments the longer he stays at 168lbs and above.

Canelo is solid but he is also "soft" too. He needs weight training to build and retain his muscle mass.

Golovkin turned Canelo into a bobble head doll in the second fight. He outboxed Canelo off the backfoot. Great fight.

Canelo landed 5 clean punches to the head in that clip. The jab through the guard at the beginning of the clip followed by a right to the body, then the crisp one-two then a right hand that stunned GGG. Don't make me post screenshots to expose you yet again as a liar and a deceiver when it comes to landed punches.
