Like seriously, what's your honest opinion towards Wilder's power? Was he actually padded? Was he legit? How does his power compared to other fighters? I can see testaments indicating that Wilder's power might be overrated. He knocked out (Inside the bracket means loses by kos):

    Artur Szpilka:
    24-5-0 (5KOs)

    Gerald Washington:
    20-5-1 (5KOs)
    Eric Molina:
    28-8-0 (8KOs)
    Bermaine Stiverne:
    25-5-1 (4KOs)
    Kelvin Price
    14-2-0 (2KOs)
    Malik Scott:
    38-3-1 (2KOs)

He somehow unable to kayo Bermaine Stiverne in their first, leading to a first round demolition on their second bout. He did struggled against durable people tho (like, who wouldn't?). He knocked out some quality fighters such as Dominick Breazeale, Luis Ortiz, Johann Duhaupas and drop Tyson Fury for full 9 count. I really don't know how to rate Wilder's punching power, may hear some of your takes about it.

First, Wilder broke his right hand when he floored Stiverne in their first fight. It was common knowledge. It also takes like zero seconds to search that.

So he boxed his way to a 12-round decision win and (with two good hands), wiped out Stiverne in the return.

Second, you list those records above as if those were their records when he faced them ... and not their records five or six years later.

When he faced them, Stiverne was 24-1-1 and WBC Champion, Molina was 23-2, Duhaupas 32-2, Szpilka was 20-1, Arreola was 36-4-1. Washington was 18-0-1, Stiverne was 25-2-1 (the second time). Ortiz was 28-0 (the first time), Fury was 27-0 (the first time), Breazeale was 20-1, Ortiz was 31-1 (the second time), Fury was 29-0-1 (the second time) and Fury was 30-0-1 the third time. They were all ranked by the WBC.

Szpilka suffered a brutal KO, was carried out of the ring on a stretcher, was taken to the hospital and couldn't fight for a year. He never fully recovered his ability to take a punch after that.

Everyone on the list outweighed Wilder ... often anywhere from 20 to 40+ pounds. Wilder hasn't outweighed an opponent in nearly a decade. He's been blasting out people, particularly during his title reign, who were often significantly heavier than him - which no other banger in history did with such regularity.

I can only imagine how brutally he would've destroyed fighters when he reached his peak if it was the other way around and Wilder outweighed his opponents by 20 or 40 pounds, which other punchers like Foreman and Briggs often did to rack up their big numbers.

You appear to be a fan of Bob Satterfield, who also tended to fight guys heavier than him - though not by as many pounds as Wilder's opponents tended to outweigh him. And Satterfield only KOed fewer than half his opponents ... not ALL of them but one. Less than half (35 KOs in 79 fights). For the first Fury fight, Wilder was 212 to Fury's 256. And Wilder still floored him twice and successfully defended his WBC title for the eighth time against him.

Also, Wilder stopped Arreola - who isn't easy to ko - when Wilder had a broken hand AND a torn bicep. Which, I found, amazing, considering I can't count the number of fights where boxers just quit when they suffer a torn bicep.

He's fought for 13 years and failed to stop one opponent during that stretch, and that fighter is the World Champion, who has never been stopped. But he also floored Fury four separate times in their fights, all while being the much lighter opponent.

That's incredibly difficult to do. Go down a list of all the journeyman and nobodies who Shavers and Foreman and other punchers in history couldn't stop, and you see how truly difficult it is to stop everyone. They all had off nights every now and then against ordinary fighters, EXCEPT Wilder.

I believe he's THE hardest puncher this century, and arguably the best puncher in heavyweight history.

I've been watching boxing since the 1970s, I never saw anyone consistently destroy people ilke he has, often with one shot while being ridiculously outweighed.

    All-time great puncher.

Remember hes often lighter than his opponents and sometimes by a good margin and hes putting ppl down and out with one punch i say his power is legit.

And his punching technique is awfull. Imagine if he had the punching fundamentals that other fighters and other punchers had he would be a scary mofo.

    Great puncher.... for this era

Massively overrated, especially American presses and Wilder fans, he hasn't knocked nobody of note, ever.

    Ortiz x2? Fantastic.

Does he have all time great power? Yes. Is it overrated by the masses? Yes

How can someone have all-time-great power and it be overrated?

    It's either all-time-great power or it isn't.

Wilder's skill is average at best, yet his power cannot be questioned.
He's one of if not the hardest puncher that ever lived, a solid 10 out of 10.

I think he very well could have the single hardest one shot punch in heavyweight history, he's certainly in the top 2 or 3. As you say ,can't overrate that.

Because people act like its the greatest puncher of all time when realistically your best proven KO win is Luis Ortiz.

Wilder is the KO, TKO, or knockdown of all the boxers he fought; be they A, B, C or D class fighters.

Just the power of the punch regadless of: champions, technique, opponents, career, legacy, image, charisma, belts, score, skill, precision, heart, money, adverstage, discrimination, longevity, title defense,... is Deontay Wilder.

Regardless of whatever shortcomings he may have, I think it’s pretty undeniable that he hits very hard. Now how does his power compare to men like Foreman, Shavers, Lewis, etc ? I have no idea. But I seriously doubt that very many people would claim that he can’t punch

Top 3 in terms of raw power and there really isn't any credible argument you can against him.

Go ahead and name 5 people you think hit harder than him. I'll wait.

He hits hard. A top hitter, not sure where he ranks history wise with the all time great hitters like Louis, Marciano, Foreman or Tyson. But he is in that range.
