I will insert a caveat straight away, it could be my age ! .
Just about had my fill of fake, faux, press conferences , its past its SBD , we all know the routine they hate each other, there is history, fighter A has been dissing fighter B for too long , one of the fighters has claimed bragging rights to the sparring session they had many years ago, " Leave my fam out of this " and " you disrespected me all those years ago " then comes the swearing, and in some cases reference to well, self pleasure :nonono " your gonna get badly hurt " and " I am going to rip your head off " then the trainers ( I use the word loosely ) get involved, with put downs , how the other fighter has been fighting muppets, etc, .
Then near the end they approach each other, with hate in their eyes, evil in their thoughts, kill, kill, thats whats gonna happen when we step in the ring.
Hmmm, not exactly ! what normally occurs in about 95% of cases is, they fall into each other's arms , lots of praise, lots of hugging, and on more than one occasion a moving, heart rendering tender kiss.
Enough, is enough, drop the whole charade, it's become boring, predictable, and frankly childish.
    stay safe guys.

It was fun in the last decade, starting with Fury, then Haye-Bellew etc. It’s boring and predicable now.

These kind of press conference shenanigans go back MUCH further than that, to the days of Muhammad Ali. Ali, as in many areas of the sport, was an innovator in this as well. And, in my opinion, no one has done it better:

They are just promoting the fight and providing some quotes for casuals. Can't understand why this would bother anyone.

Some don't seem to get that fights are not just sporting competitions, but entertainment. And press conference hype and shenanigans are part of it, and have been for at least 60 years.

Ali was an 'innovator' when it came to wind ups and trash talk. He could be very near the mark ( or past it) and very edgy. He definitely knew how to get under another fighters skin

He's done and said things you wouldn't get away with today.

He even carried Joe Frazier around in his shirt top pocket!...
