Probably for a few reasons, he wasn't a personality that the public took a shine too, he isn't particularly articulate or bright compared to you average boxer. I can't imagine him being chummy with the right people to get him a punditry gig, people like Adam Smith, Hearn etc.

 

Extremely talented fighter plagued with injuries that went on the road and won world titles but was a ghost of himself after the Badou Jack war and never the same again… yet didn’t call it a day when he was finished so was mullered by Eubank, something that wouldn’t have happened in his pomp.

Won a world title, earned plenty of dough and got out of the game. Fair play.

If hes just enjoying himself then thats great, as others said he wasnt articulate so couldnt do much in that respect. still, youd think hed maybe be seen atending shows or whatever. but yeah, good for him either way, i know he got a good contract when he turned over with Warren, the Groves fight then later got the PBC money

 

Degale was a very talented fighter in his prime, when the knee busted and he lost his mobility was when it started to go for him.

 

Seems like he actually meant it, unlike Bellew!

 

In terms of taking codswallop, Bellew might be worse than Tyson.

 

He deserves more recognition.
