What do you mean? He's been involved in some huge fights, the biggest British star since Lewis, even if not as good as Fury, he's bigger in the UK. He has a respectable resume. He has been a unified champ. He's been selling out massive stadiums for ages now. I agree, he's not an ATG at all, but he's definitely HOF. He's done work in and out of the ring, he's been a good role model. His fights are rarely boring. Whether he loses or wins it's usually dramatic/entertaining. I'm not denying his ability is not that of an ATG, but in terms of what he's offered the sport, he deserves HOF and he will get it. It's not shame not to be the best of your generation if you're up against freaks like Fury and Usyk. Being 3rd to those two is no sign of you being poor.
That is not the case, I view Bow as a top ten of all time. I'm interested who you view top 10? AJ best wins Wlad Povetkin Whyte Parker Ruiz Pulev Wlads Haye Povetkin Pulev Byrd Brewster Chagaev Comparable records between the two. Both better than Vitalli's of Briggs, Sanders and Chisora.
Povetkin and Byrd are both way better than Haye, while Ibragimov, Schulz and Chagaev are better than Pulev. Anyway, ages are important here. Wlad was 41, Povetkin was 38, Pulev was 39. He gets the names but in reality didn't have to beat them at their best or even close.
Wlad, Povetkin and Pulev were past best vs Joshua and 41 y/o Wlad should have beat him. Btw prime Peter and Arreola would give Joshua's chin serious trouble. We recently saw an ancient Arreola knock over a much better shape Ruiz than the one Joshua struggled to put a mark on in Saudi. Joshua's last fight was not a Hof level display. Only as good as your last, eh.
what a horrendous criteria logic considering theres about 70 'belt holders' at any one time and fighters like Julius Indongo, Amir Khan, Lamont Peterson, Daniel Roman, Ryan Burnett , Daniel Geale, O' Neil Bell, Jeison Rosario were 'unified champ's
This has been done to death already. Joshua was a two time unified champ and always fought the best he could. He get's into the HOF but is bot an ATG. His career isn't done yet either so.....
Wlad’s best wins: 1-Prime Chris Byrd(the one from the first fight) 2-Prime Povetkin(much better than the one AJ beat) 3-Slightly past prime Chagaev 4-Prime David Haye 5-Prime Sultan Ibragimov 6-Prime Sam Peter(the one from the first fight) 7-Prime Pulev(much better than the one AJ fought) 8-Jameel Mccline 9-Calvin Brock 10-Tony Thompson Maybe Ruiz could squeeze in somewhwere between 8 to 10, maybe. But he needs to do more than just being a guy who’s a bad matchup on the inside for AJ and struggles with the corpses of former contenders like Arreola, Liakhiovich(in a fight that could’ve easily been a draw), Kingpin. For now, he’s hardly a better win than a Jennings, Chambers or Schulz. Notice I didn’t count Brewster or Ray Mercer for Wlad as they were washed up by then. AJ’s top wins: 1-Semi-retired Wlad 2-Washed-up Povetkin 3-Washed-up Pulev 4-Joe Parker(might climb higher, jury is still out) 5-Prospect Whyte 6-Ruiz 7-Takam(on par with Jennings, if not worse) 8-Breazeale 9-Charles Martin 10-Eric Molina Aside from all these names, Wlad was a lineal champion, Joshua never was. Wlad was dominant, Joshua wasn’t. Wlad had longevity and reigned for a long time, Joshua didn’t. So no, their careers or records are absolutely not similar. AJ can still make something more out of his career. But right now, It’s atrocious and beyond ridicuolus to claim Joshua is anywhere near Wlad(though I can understand the case for him being ahead of Vitali).
Many lesser accomplished champions have reached the HOF also. So what are we basing the qualifying criteria on?
I can't take you remotely seriously.......your bias aggainst one fighter and applying different rules to another. According to you all of Joshua's opposition were crap and Vlad's were elite and prime.....GTFOH.. Also using a fallacy argument against Ruiz who has always been inconsistent cements your bias.
What the hell are you on about? I never, not once stated that Wlad’s opponents were elite, you pulled it out of your ass. But yes, unlike Joshua’s, most of them were on their prime. I also specifically pointed out that Wlad’s longevity, dominance and him establishing a lineage were the main factors that put him head and shoulders above Joshua in an all time ranking.
