Didn't anal Sanchez change gennady from a boxer to big drama show? Im assuming he's been taken out of context and at his best golovkin is a front foot monster...or he could just be being a ***** about the break up...who knows
Sanchez is both wrong and right. I think GGG is an elite boxer who is solid in every aspect of the game. His boxing skills regressed under Sanchez. THAT SAID - Sanchez has a point that when Golovkin pressures guys, they tend to fold mentally after they taste the power. I mean look at Geale who is a very handy boxer himself. One thunderous biff in the mouth and he decided 'that's enough'. The pressure itself can make boxers turtle up and when they do that it is game over.
I saw the interview and Sanchez didn't seem to have any resentment. Reading it here you'd think he was spitting feathers in an attempt to berate Golovkin. He wasn't. He was voicing his opinion on the way he would prefer golovkin to fight as a trainer. Anyone who followed the fallout of GGG/Canelo 2 could tell Sanchez took it quite personally. 4 years on its pretty clear that sanchez has come to peace with it.
Always was relatively faint of heart, aside from being an overrated C fighter. Little Cotto brought the quit out of him, too. Getting biffed by Golovkin didn't make Gabe Rosado or Martin Murray wave a white flag, because those men have heart. But, on the 'Boxer or Bruiser?' debate, I agree that the truth of the matter lies somewhere in the middle.
