    Haven't seen that either.

    Basically, I'm Rafael Williams deficient.

D, both @Jel and I both scored this a 115-115 Draw, although we may have a had a few rounds different. I think we were all on the same page that this was one tight fight.

What was up with Bramble? It seemed like his fall after the Rosario loss was pretty dramatic. Was there outside factors involved? Was he rated too high pre-Rosario? Did Rosario ruin him?

I heard he liked to smoke weed alot, i don't know what effects that has exactly. Because i don't drink or smoke, but i wouldn't think it would be very beneficial to him. It was probably a combination of that, and him never quite recovering from the Rosario loss.

To be fair he did have some decent performances even after the Rosario loss, i felt like he clearly beat Oba Carr and was robbed of a decision.

Yeah i always wanted to see that fight aswell, i would of liked to of seen how exactly Pernell Whitaker got dropped. Since he didn't visit the canvas very often in his prime, so it would be interesting to see.

I think he hung in there trying to stay relevant roughly until Pendleton beat him. Then it was like "Fine, it's a payday, why not."

    Jimmy Paul vs Irleis Perez

    1 Perez
    2 Perez
    3 Perez
    4 Paul
    5 Paul
    6 Paul
    7 Paul
    8 Paul
    9 Paul
    10 Paul
    11 Perez
    12 Perez
    13 Perez
    14 Perez
    15 Perez

    143-142 Perez

Last 5 rounds of this fight were really exciting especially the 15th round wow, i thought Perez pulled it out based on a tremendous effort in the last 5 rounds. But a very close fight that could of gone either way.

It was a very close fight, but i'm not gonna lie the quality of the fight i watched wasn't the best. So maybe i missed a few things here and there when scoring the fight. But i did feel like Perez did sweep pretty much all the later rounds, as to me he showed he wanted it more. And i felt like he just outfought Paul in them rounds.

Although i do remember the 15th round was very back and forth, and probably one of the best 15th rounds i've seen up there with Holmes/Norton. But a very debatable fight, which i wouldn't argue either man winning by a point or two.

No wonder Jimmy Paul said he was worn out, and had to take a break from boxing after Haugen loss. He had been in back to back really hard grueling fights vs Arroyo, Blake, Perez, etc. I think them fights would of took a tole on anyone, no wonder he wasn't quite the same after that.

Yeah, agree; any scorecard for either guy by a point or two is reasonable I think. Very tough fight to score.

For horrible things to score, ever done Spinks-Eddie Davis? Hurts just to think about it.

I have seen the fight once a long time ago, but I never actually scored it.

But one Michael Spinks fight i do remember is his fight vs Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

If I remember rightly Muhammad won all 7 rounds at the start, and then got dropped. And Spinks dominated the rest of the fight, truly a fight of two halves.

Just finished Vuyani Bungu - Kennedy McKinney 1, after fruitlessly searching for it for some time. Good fight, and an excellent example of the industrious style Bungu brought to the table.

He was going to play hell with a stand-up boxer like McKinney anyway; coming in low, arms tucked high and tight, exhibiting excellent head and upper body movement and making himself smaller on the way in. He'd spring up out of that pronounced crouch with stiff jabs and sharp rights then fall inside to rip left hooks around McKinney's low right hand. So very busy, and as the champion was a slow starter anyway, Bungu was off to a great start.

McKinney is nothing if not brave and tireless, and he fought hard but so many of his longer, wound-up punches sailed over the ducking Bungu. He did best in the third, when he was able to effectively employ side-to-side movement and occasionally back up an extra half step to establish a bit more punching room, but Bungu adjusted and continued to bore in relentlessly.

This was no hometown verdict, Bungu earned it......

    1. Bungu
    2. Bungu
    3. McKinney
    4. Bungu
    5. McKinney
    6. Bungu
    7. Bungu

    10. McKinney

    116-112 Bungu.

Jel, I scored this today. Here is how I had it:

    Miguel Cotto v Shane Mosley

    Round 1: 10-9 Cotto
    Round 2: 10-10 Even
    Round 3: 10-9 Mosley
    Round 4: 10-9 Cotto
    Round 5: 10-10 Even
    Round 6: 10-9 Cotto
    Round 7: 10-9 Mosley
    Round 8: 10-9 Cotto
    Round 9: 10-9 Mosley
    Round 10: 10-9 Mosley
    Round 11: 10-9 Cotto
    Round 12: 10-10 Even

Total: 116-115 Cotto (actual scores: 115-113, 115-113 and 116-113 all for Cotto)

Totally agreed with your assessment, Jel. A very close fight all round.

    Jimmy Paul vs Greg Haugen

    1 Even
    2 Paul
    3 Paul
    4 Haugen
    5 Haugen
    6 Haugen
    7 Haugen
    8 Paul
    9 Even
    10 Haugen
    11 Haugen
    12 Paul
    13 Paul
    14 Paul
    15 Paul

    144-143 Paul

If i'm being honest this fight was too tough to score, not alot happened in most of the rounds. The commentators were convinced Haugen was the clear winner, i didn't really see either man winning any clear rounds.

Paul struggled to land his jab all night long, as Haugen's little step back prevented him from landing his jab. But Paul was not willing to step in with the jab either, and just allowed Haugen to outhustle him in very close non action rounds. As Paul seemed to be sleep walking through most of the fight.

I thought Paul edged the fight based on winning the last 4 rounds, he seemed to wake up after Emanual Stewards speech in the corner. And showed more desire to win the fight as Haugen seemed to be tiring in the later rounds.

Overall i have to say though this was a very disappointing performance from Paul, he didn't really show any desire in this until the last 4 rounds. And he looked like a totally different fighter from the fights i'd saw of him previously, his punches didn't look as sharp and his overall demeanour was just flat.

Whether all the tough 15 rounds caught up to him or he just had an off night. Or maybe Haugen's counter punching style which didn't allow him to land his jab threw him off, but whatever the reason he was flat as a pancake in this fight. And even though i had him edging the fight, TBH you could watch this fight 10 different times and have different result, so many close rounds where not alot happened

I think of Paul as a very passive fighter. Not an action guy. Didn’t mix it up much. Your description sounds like his entire career, or at least what of it I remember.
