LOL I agree, Arguello would never get a clean shot on Duran. I see him going down as he did against Pryor.
Sweet Pea could make just about anyone look bad. It would be interesting to see Aaron Pryor against him.
No I didn't. But seeing as how you brought it up, it would be tough to compare the two, given Duran's lengthy recordt puffed up in the in the trenches. LOL indeed. I figured the Duran worshippers would object. Go ahead and make a case for your claim then. Arguello's record is superior in just about every respect, especially his success at different weights. Maybe also you compare the quality of fighters that Arguello defeated convincingly, compared to the quality of fighters that Duran defeated convincingly. There is no comparison. Your move. But if you are just going to laugh and say "it's obvious", then don't waste my time.
No I didn't. Of course Duran has a longer record,, mostly puffed up in the trenches against no-names. Modern fighters tend to pick their fights more carefully. That's the biggest difference with many of the Latin American fighters, especially Chavez. But if you look at quality of fighters DEFEATED, Not to mention the fighters that cleaned his clock, Duran don't look so **** hot as people make him out to be
Horrible analysis. Clearly you know a lot less than you think you do. Or, I suppose it is possible that you are just trolling.
Yes you did. You wrote Arguello would have roughed up Duran and knocked him out in the late rounds like he did to Mancini. That's a comparison.
Horrible post. Besides Tommy Hearns, what other fighter "cleaned" Duran's "clock"? Besides if Alexis' record is better then how is it Duran stopped 2 guys that beat Alexis? And I am still waiting to figure out which fighter or fighters on Alexis' resume that is better than Leonard, a fighter 2 weight classes above Duran's optimal weight.
