I’ve told you I’m not replying to this.

You can’t even acknowledge that Floyd was guilty of any wrongdoing.

So we’ll agree to disagree and we’ll leave it there.

Off topic, regarding the Canelo fight, just out of interest, did you see that as an easy win for Floyd?

Yes it was an easy win for pbf because canelo is a defensive counter puncher at his core. He can't beat pbf at his own game.

    Not at all.

Canelo showed him far too much respect.

He didn’t pressure or press him enough.

    Floyd was comfortable.

Maidana is levels below Canelo, but made Floyd extremely uncomfortable by fighting him up close, aggressively, and by using dirty tactics.

Canelo sat back to try and counterpunch, whereas Maidana roughed him up on the inside, where he gave him no respect or time to manoeuvre.

Not just me, the judges who scored it also the fight really close and competitive also. 116-112, 117-111, 114-114.

To understanad how brutal that war was for Floyd, watch this interview of Floyd right after the fight.

Floyd : "my arm is killing me, my left arm".

If it was such an easy night, as you say, if Floyd was in cruise control, as you say, then why would Floyd be talking up how impressed he was by Canelo as a counter puncher, why would he be complaining that his arm his sore? Why would he need to have a massage mere hours after that match if it was such an easy night's work?

It’s easy to say this though.

If Maidana hadn’t have fought Floyd and I’d have suggested that Maidana would have caused Floyd issues, you’d probably have laughed at me and told me that Maidana wouldn’t have taken even a round off of him.

Between the judges scores, and Floyd's own statements about how tough Canelo was, and how he came out of that so impressed by Canelo, praising Canelo's counter punching ability, even going as far to say "he will be Champion again".

You don't say that about a fighter if you had such an easy time beating a fighter. You don't get a massage mere hours after a fight if you didn't sustain significant damage, you don't complain about how busted up your arm is after an easy night.

Floyd was clearly beat up after 12 rounds against Canelo. That's a fact, straight from the horses mouth.

Margaritos only chance at beating a younger primer Floyd in 08 was to come in with plaster wraps like he did against Cotto. Williams had a better chance at beating Floyd than Cheato had imo.

Can you please address post no.144 by Pimp please.

He too believes that Maidana was a harder fight stylistically for Floyd than what Canelo was.

    Thanks mate.

I think he recognised his talent and knowing how young he was, that he was destined to be the best once he left the sport someday. And thats where were at right now. Maidana gave Floyd a tougher more competitive fight than Canelo did at that time, id say even Cotto.

I already have taken this up with Pimp. He knows my stance on this, but he likes to pretend Floyd was already faded against Canelo to make the win look better.
