Really??? By your logic AJ KO Molina in 3, without Molina even touched him. Your fanhero needed 9 rounds, and Molina put him on wobbly legs and almost KO him. AJ will kill Wilder and i hope the fight happen so AJ KO him inside 3 rounds and people stop talking about Byonce.
I always believed AJ is the better fighter but head to head styles makes fights so I always believed Wilder would KO AJ similar to Breazeale.. AJs lack of head movement is the big factor here. He doesn’t know how to fight inside like Fury to avoid being caught at the end of Wilders punches..
Wilders straight right hand is a bigger punch than anything in AJs arsenal. But AJ is way more fundamentally solid. Every other punch he throws is more powerful than Wilders, the uppercut and left hook in particular. AJ also has a better jab. I see the fight as 50/50 as Wilder has shown that he is willing go through fire to land his own (albeit never against someone who hits as hard as AJ) I just see a nervous AJ tensing up and getting rigid and the right hand landing for Wilder
Always expected Joshua to win that, by KO. And going by the history of trying to make that fight happen, that's the outcome Wilder and his handlers expected too.
Wilder is already 36 years old, Joshua can provide another 3 years of good boxing, if Wilder was a few years younger I would give him an advantage, in this case it's a 50-50 fight, Wilder is braver, Joshua is mentally not ready but is technically somewhat better than Wilder...
DW's handlers kept him from Wlad (I have a belt, but i'm not ready to step up!!) and kept him from the 100 Mill offer from AJ. They sure had confidence in their boy
There are clearly plenty of people on here who have been in a coma for a few years and haven't realised the AJ they love no longer exists. The pain endured in the Wlad victory changed him, his defeat to the taco oaf marked the end of his ability to contest top fights. The desire and belief is no longer there and it's never coming back. What you're left with is a fighter maintaining a pretence of confidence and hunger, in order to bank some more cash before taking a retirement he's been fantasising about for years. Pre-Wlad AJ would have dispensed of Pulev in half the time. Instead we watched a pondorous and risk averse charade, it was like watching my wife summon up the courage to evict a spider from the house. Pulev and perhaps slightly higher is the level of opponent today's gun shy AJ can still dispense. The big unknown in this match up is whether Wilder is irrevocably damaged from the Fury trilogy. That's a legit concern but if he took the Joshua fight you can be sure he won't be shy about trying to detonate on AJ's balsa wood chin. That and the fact that AJ will not hunt Wilder down makes the bronze bomber the clear favourite.
