Floyd edges it, for me. But I imagine it would be close and controversial either way

We cannot ignore the possibility of Duran getting frustrated and quitting.

Duran is a horrible match up for Mayweather.

Duran wins on points. Something like 9-6 in rounds.

I personally don't see Floyd getting ko'd by Duran. I feel like Floyd's chin and heart are very underrated here. I'll take Duran by close but clear decision.

I think Duran would edge it on aggression on most scorecards most of the time.

    Yeah.

Anyone picking Duran is biased, right?

Why don’t you prove that Floyd would have won by listing his stats.

    That’ll show em.

    Really?

He did that only once in over 100 fights.

    Why?

Because Ray Leonard was mocking him and show boating with him.

Now on what planet would Floyd have done those things?

Duran would have destroyed poor Floyd at the pressers.

That is of course IF he’d signed for the fight in the first place.

    A huge ‘IF’

Uncle Roger had Floyd spooked by telling him tales about Manny.

The likelihood is: Floyd would have retired to have spent more time with his family.

Duran by clear decision ,too much intense, but educated pressure for Floyd to handle .Maidana gave us a glimpse of the blue print, and Duran was twice the fighter he was.

Maidana soundly lost the rematch, people always saying this guy a horrible matchup, this a horrible matchup without getting into the ring themselves. Floyd is too smart for Duran, I only have 3 people in boxing history beating Floyd and Duran is not one of them, the guy is called TBE for a reason, you just suffer from nostalgic symptoms, don't let nostalgia cloud you judgement, boxing just like every other sport evolves as time passes. Floyd is too advanced for Duran, Floyd father fought SRL who beat Duran, so of course Floyd gonna know ho to beat Duran like what? Duran is definitely the greater lightweight but in a 1v1 I don't see Floyd losing. I just don't, and I box myself.

If we are talking of peak, focused Duran, there is no contest. He wins hand down.

    However, he doesn't stop Floyd.

As much as I regret this, but Fairweather's defensive wizardry allows him to survive and he makes it to the final bell in one piece.

However, the outcome is never in doubt.
    Duran UD.
