When Wilder ducked Joshua he fought Fury. When Joshua ducked Wilder he fought old man Povetkin. Levels to this ducking game.
Wilder only fought Fury as he was out of shape and looked poor against 2 journeyman on his return. Whilst AJ fought Povetkin (who went on tobbeat Whyte and Hughie) after Wilder ducked him for career high purse again.
Wilder doesn't have the bottle to step in ring with AJ, which has been proven. Wilder struggled with Washington's jab, Pulev would jab his head off all night.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Fury has finished Wilder. I know money talks and there'll be some big fights out there if he wants them, but he's taken a bit of punishment and I wonder if he's actually more likely to hang em up?
Jared Anderson is fighting Christian Hammer on the Fury undercard, a better opponent than AJs and it's on Furys undercard ffs
Wilders draw against Fury alone trumps AJs best wins over joey twelve Parker or going life and death with the shot to pieces retired old half dead ghost of VLADD imo. AJ is hanging at 1-1 with an obese grinning Mexican and lucky to be 0-1 (might get to 0-2) against a feather fisted cruiser. Perpetually DUCKED Wilder and Fury but hoovered up puddings and old men for fun. Barry Hearns (allegedly) got an advance from Jeffrey Epstein to convince Charles Martin to hand over that alphabet bauble he fished out of the bin when Fury went on a two year bender. Even this busted version of Wilder still beats anyone not named fury or USKY with ease. Big Josh might be able to blast out another Bryan/pulev/miller/Seferi type scrub but put him in with anyone with a pulse now and his glass ticker is going to shatter again. mentally shot fighters don’t ever recover based on my many decades watching this fine sport.
I don’t see why Wilder is still treated as relevant. He’ll probably never fight again, he has 0 top wins, he fought 1 top guy and lost, and he turned down mega money to fight Joshua. People still trying to rate him above Joshua are pissing into the wind IMO.
Wilder even admitted he turned down more money to fight AJ to fight Fury and in his words "felt sorry for Fury" when really it was a cherry pick gone wrong. Has Wilder been offered more than 100m for 2 fights? No, so correct.
Wilder in 10 years will sue both Haymon and Finkel for mismanagement. They put pressure on him to turn down the biggest payday ever because they did not want him to fight on DAZN. One day wilder will wake up and realise what they did
Since I watched Tony Dosh PPV v Pudding Whyte, I knew after round 2 that he was not elite, never would be elite and would never dethrone a genuine World Heavyweight Champion in the ring. Tony Dosh PPV built a reputation for power but it is easy to look powerful knocking out no hoper puddings and I don't think his power is that great failing to make a serious dent in Spud Ruiz, Parker, Takam and Usyk with his only proper stoppages over the past 5 years being Stale Old Puddings Pedvetkin and Pulev. No chin, no stamina, no heart and his power nothing special either. Those qualities will never equate to an elite fighter.
You have your timelines mixed up mitchy boy. This was for the Fury rematch. As I said Wilder ducked Joshua for Fury. Joshua ducked Wilder for an old boy. These are facts
