Send them in, one by one. Who can prevail against prime Foreman?

    Spinks
    Ezz

Both are cagey and slick enough, experienced enough, can beat George to the punch and be gone more times than not.

Both could die, but both could pull it off. If Young can extend him and drop him, and Foreman goes life and death with Lyle, these guys have as good a shot as any other LHW.

You'd want to pick one of the modern, rehydrating 190 pounders. Although they'd probably lose too.

Charles was the best traditional LHW you could get. He, too, would probably lose, although he was better than Jimmy Young.

I'm not sure any light heavyweight would win but if I was to pick one I would go with Roy Jones. Even in the 1970s Foreman was somewhat ponderous and I could see a prime Roy Jones using his quick hands and 27 year old reflexes to outbox George and win a decision. It would take Jones sticking to his game plan and, of course, not getting caught by a Foreman power shot.

I suppose if there were one to fit the bill, it would be Ezzard.

But I don't like his chances one bit.

Other than Michael Spinks, I can’t see any other pulling it off. Maybe Loughran if he fought the right perfect fight, but probably not.

Tbh I don’t think any light heavyweight would beat George Foreman. But if I had to pick one I would probably go for someone like Archie Moore.

For those who think fighters in Louis's day were on the same level as the 70s guys, I suppose you could throw in Conn.

Or Braddock, if you think Baer was anything close to Foreman in ability.

Young was essentially a cruiser who weighed a soft 213 with no real threatening punching power when he beat Foreman. So it might be possible for a light heavy to beat Foreman who was proven at that 180-200 lb range.

    Ezzard Charles
    Sam Langford

    Would be my safest picks.

Moore has an shot as well with his cagey defense and lethal right cross counter.
