Ortiz turned down the Whyte fight whilst he was with Matchroom and decided to fight likes Malik Scott lol. Ortiz was undefeated at the time of the Wilder fight as he fought such poor opposition. That's like Haye trying hype up De Mori as he was undefeated at the time or Fury hyping up Schwarz. Look at Ortiz record compared to AJ opponents Ortiz notable wins Jennings Martin Pulev notable wins Chisora H.Fury Ruiz notable wins AJ Parker notable wins Ruiz Chisora x 2 Takam Whyte Notable wins Povetkin Parker Rivas Chisora Helenius Wach Povetkin notable Whyte Byrd Chagaev Takam Perez Huck Wlad notable wins Povetkin Haye Pulev Byrd Ibragimov Brewster Jennings It's clear to see Ortiz has the weakest record.
I don’t think there can be any debate that AJ has a better resume than Wilder. That isn’t to say AJ would beat Wilder but his body of work is worlds apart in reality.
He's still relevant because he has only lost to possibly the top boxer in the division (it's Fury or Usyk, by the looks of things). Joshua was battered by Andy Rice Pudding Jr and subsequently gave up his seat at the table of contenders for the top spot with immediate effect. Nothing will ever expunge that. It doesn't matter how many "top 10 wins" he has against no-hopers like Martin, Breazeale, Molina, Takam, Pulev types and mediocre blokes like Paint Dry and old man Povetkin who had just been dropped by David Price. Hearn and Joshua were claiming Wallin is not a good win for Fury. It will be interesting to see if they choose to face him. The narrative will be, if Joshua gets him out of there, that his win trumps Fury's, as if that means anything. Fury was getting dropped by Pajcik - but he has proven he has the talent and minerals for the top level. Joshua doesn't. He should stick to facing the Cornish's of this world and coming out to the Casualty theme tune. If Joshua has any balls he will face Joe Joyce. I also think you need to learn what "probably" means. I would say that it is highly improbable that Wilder will retire off the back of that. Wilder is as tough as anything and it would only take one punch from Wilder to end what's left of Joshua and Hearn's longstanding facade of Joshua being some kind of great heavyweight. He has been so carefully managed that it's laughable. If Martin (bought, by the way), Breazeale, Pulev, Molina, Takam etc. appeared on BT Sport and faced anyone but Joshua, without all of the fireworks and Sky glossy propaganda, you'd be sayin that they are shite opposition.
Please list the notable wins of: Wach Chisora H. Fury Rivas Jennings Huck (at heavyweight) Haye (at heavyweight) and then T. Fury
"Ortiz turned down the Whyte fight whilst he was with Matchroom and decided to fight likes Malik Scott lol." Post evidence. Your list is without any context whatsoever and has very little to do with the actual danger posed by a fighter. "Wach" Oh dear, you've opened up a can of worms there. If 40+ Wach is a notable win, then Hammer, Scott and 40+ Tony Thompson are also notable wins. Monte Barrett too. And by your standards, all of Wilder's championship wins are notable and even some before that. Sconiers beat future and former Klitschko world title challengers Ray Austin and Jameel McCline and Liakhovich beat 3 defence reigning world champion and Klitschko-conqueror Brewster, who you admit to rating as a notable win. So are they also notable? Hell why not Audley Harrison? He KO'd Klitschko world title challenger and Mike Tyson-conqueror Danny Williams.
Wach was a better than any of Thimpson, Mccline, Austin, Hammer and Scott. It's Lear to to see that half a dozen AJ opponents have better records than Wilder let alone Ortiz.
Do you lose points for being dropped 4 times and quitting against a light punching very stubby and morbidly obese late sub? And if so, how many relative to losing to the No.1 ranked 6'9, 275 lbs world champion?
Unifications trump mandos. I'm just playing devil's advocate. AJ and Hearn are saints in CV Mitchey boys eyes. Both sides are to blame for the fight not happening.
Oh, dear, Mitch. Oh, dear. That was a very weak response, indeed. You may as well get that white flag lifted. This is the problem with Mitch and his famous CV algorithm. It is terribly inconsistent. I am wondering if Mitch is currently cooking up a response to my question, or if he will ignore it. Mitch normally opts for "Fury has no wins since Klitschko". I would like to see Mitch list Fury's notable wins because Cunningham, Chisora, Chisora, Hammer, Johnson must all be recognised as notable wins.
Wach beat K. Johnson, Hammer and Teper, which according to you makes him notable. Why not these guys: Szpilka beat Wach, McCline, Guinn and Adamek Thompson beat Diaz, Bean, Guinn, T. Ibragimov, Krasniqi, Price x2 and Solis x2 McCline beat Grant, Whitaker, Briggs, Boswell and Shufford Austin beat Golota, Williamson and drew with Whitaker, Donald and S. Ibragimov Scott beat Thompson, Shufford, Morales and drew with Glazkov Hammer beat Price, Teper, K. Johnson and D. Williams
His goose is cooked here. There are no mental gymnastics he can employ to credibly defend that statement. "It's Lear" He's either a malfunctioning robot or he's talking about Shakespeare. You be the judge.
Ruiz did beat AJ pillar to post and that was bad. I judge a resume on the wins not the losses. AJ has a better body of wins by a distance.
If Fury beat Whyte and Wallin beat Joshua, Mitch could well be yet another character in a type of Shakespearean play to off himself. Although, I think that something dodgy has happened between Mitch and Fury and something more akin to Eminem's Stan might be more applicable.
Do you really think that these worthless governing bodies would have prefered for Joshua to face Povetkin over Wilder? It's a money game, and this is a no contest. It's ludicrous to suggest that Joshua was backed in to a corner when he was holding the trump card. A "resume" (résumé, or in boxing, record) has to be judged on the balance of wins and losses. To judge only on the wins is incredibly selective and Joshua has only one top level win and that was against Klitschko who was inactive, 41 and coming off the Fury loss. He had one fit into retirement. His "resume" is crap.
