Does anyone think Parker could be a big threat going forward?

He was garbage vs Chisora in the first fight where he got a lucky decision, I personally think he lost.

But I think he had just switched trainer weeks before hand.

2nd fight he dominated Chisora a lot harder than anyone else has. Usyk, Whyte or even Fury.

3 knockdowns in total. Chisora fought bravely, and almost robbed Parker this time on the scorecards.

How on earth the scorecards were so close despite THREE ****ING KNOCKDOWNS.

Parker's defence is still garbage, but his power and accuracy have improved.

No he isn't. He's got good power and skills, it's just his defence sucks.

I liked how aggressive he was against Chisora and the extra weight may have given him more power

He's got age on his side. I don't think he beats Usyk, Joshua, Wilder or Fury but he'll still be fighting long after those 4 have hung up their gloves.

I reckon he becomes world champion again in 2024 or so.

Solid top ten guy, I could see him picking up another vacant title if/when some of the top guys retire or vacate for various reasons. I don't think he beats Fury, Usyk, or Joshua.

He has the tools, I just don't think he really has the heart of a fighter. He seems relatively apathetic, without any intensity. He will be a good gatekeeper but never the top dog.

    No

Doesn’t have the heart or the power

I don’t see how beating a nearly 40 year old Derek Chisora who already had double digit losses by decision is impressive

It was the MANNER that he beat Chisora that impressed most boxing pundits. He POUNDED the guy unlike ever before.

If you'd asked me a year ago if Parker was a world beater, I would have sadly admitted his star was sinking.

Today, given he is the youngest of the ex-champs (by far), I think he has a new lease on life and a good chance of shocking the division.

He hasn't got that little bit of special to overcome the current champs.

Usyk & Fury are special, league of their own.

Whyte, AJ, Parker, Wilder, Ruiz Jr etc etc all are interesting matchups with one another.
