Bruno could chin Joshua and the reverse is possible too. Also Frank Bruno could outbox Parker. Might even drop him like Whyte and Chisora did. He showed incredible jabbing, inpressive power, superior timing to Parker and good combination punching against top 10 Coetzee. Took him out in a round like no other before him. And he beat Coetzer too. Parker is a limited speedster, he isn't even as good as Joe Bunger, the guy is completely overrated. Okay fighter but Bruno was better. His best win besides Ruiz himself is what Takam ? Taking 2 fights to beat a Old shopworn Chisora with double digit loses ? Lol Parker holding a belt means nothing without context, because Charles Martin held one to, so did Stiverne. Parker beats Joyce and it's a different conversation but that doesn't change anything about Ruiz being inferior to Bruno
Bruno wouldn’t have beaten the version of Klitschko and Povetkin that AJ stopped. Both would have iced Bruno. There are some short memories out there. Look at Bruno’s level, he was fringe world level who managed to grab a strap and then lose it immediately. AJ has operated comfortably at world level and a higher level than Bruno ever did.
If anyone’s getting chinned its Bruno, his chin was worse than AJ’s. Joshua’s been dropped 5 times in his career and went up all 5. Bruno would get hurt and his whole body would shut down. Could Bruno drop Parker? Sure, but he definitely wouldn’t outbox him. He’s too slow, stiff, and easy to figure out. He would definitely look good for a few rounds, but Bruno usually found a way to loose important fights. His best win is McCall and honestly who knows what would’ve happened if the ref didn’t allow all that holding in the 12th. Ruiz, AJ, Parker are all better than Bruno. Even Joyce is looking better. I don’t even know why I’m responding to you. I know for a fact you’re not this high on Bruno, you just don’t like AJ
Who has Parker beat man speed is not everything. Takam is slow, stiff, short, and still took 4 or 5 rounds off Parker. Watch some Bruno son. You watch Bruno against Tyson i bet. He was better than Parker. Not Povetkin or Klitschko. But Parker ? Yes Bruno would be a favorite
I love Frank, but damn, people really do go out of their way to undersell Joshua, generally speaking, on this forum. It's like Pavlik syndrome, as soon as he has his weaknesses exploited to full effect, he goes from the truth to a damn, dirty lie, and a lie nobody willing to tell anymore. It's like, I get it, he's not as good as people hoped but he made bank and now you're salty or worried you're not discerning anymore, but damn, he's still a hell of an athlete. Bruno was something at his best too, but Joshua is just more sophisticated and talented and accomplished. There's an overlap on some strengths and weaknesses but he's still just better. I'll never love him like I do Frank, but that's because for years I had a spinal problem and a old lady from Mousehole that said she was a witch and had bottled this essence of Frank's laughter gave me some in exchange for something I don't wanna talk about but it fixed my back. I got off of percs because of Frank. AJ never done nothing like that for me. I mean-he alright but he never did that.
Look at some of the punches Bruno took from Tyson Not too sure he chin isn't just as good if not better than AJ
Losing all that weight seemed to effect his chin and he was gettting caught more, his defense has declined, those same shots would have stopped Bruno, Jumbo Cummings wwas a bum.
He didn`t take that much punishment from Tyson, most of Tyson`s shots missed, it was a very sloppy fight with a lot of holding and plenty of fighters went further than the three rounds it took Tyson in their rematch where Bruno constantly held.
