He's signed to fight, and Tyson can carry this on his own, so what's the issue? Tyson could.always dress up as Batman if you like?

The promotion of this fight is a mess. I can’t remember the last time a fighter was unlikely to promote a fight at all in person.

Not a single fight been announced for the undercard either, even though we’re 3 weeks out…

How can you conclude that that was even when the lawyer is demanding something that’s not in the contract? Both Warren and SJ made him look like a total incompetent. An escrow would be a totally material aspect of the contract too.

As Warren put it himself, a school dropout at 14 and career wheeler dealer made a highly educated lawyer look ridiculous on national radio.

    My take on it all...

I think the current situation is mainly caused by
bad blood left over from the original negotiations, pre purse bid and the WBC decision on the cut.

They are both digging their heels in. I don't agree with Whyte not attending the presser, but completely get the point about not being involved in the decision on the promo pic. Whether Warren likes it or not he needs to work with Whyte on the fight and promotional stuff whether he likes it or not.

The contract talk sounds like there was a verbal agreement with Warren's son for further negotiations post bout agreement, this could be BS. There was plenty of time to iron out terms like Escrow if the Whyte team saw it as such a big issue.

It now sounds like Warren is potentially going to use Whyte not attending the presser as a breach of contract to hold some money back.

I'm no contract lawyer, but to me this sounds like this is a minor breach that will cost him more Money in court fees than saved in the long run.

A complete mess that could be easily averted if all parties where civil during negotiations.

This one has got Barry hearns and sons paw prints all over it.

Odds on that Whyteleafe loses and big josh loses again, where does that leave matchroom? Their top two heavies are something like 1-4 in the last year and they have no belts and are fighting on an APP.

hearns learned more than a few of those dark arts from uncle Jeffrey Epstein no doubt, expect more shenanigans

    Finally, someone gets it.

I feel DW is getting revenge on the WBC and rightly so. But final hour contracts being signed? Image problems? Escrow? That's Fast Car all over.

Wazza didn't look any better. New company made the othe day? Can't guarantee the funds? Whyte is gonna get shafted here.

Mad that people think FW "destroyed" the lawyer and clearly exposes some peoples agendas here.

Whyte didnt have to attend as per contract when FW decided to take it to purse bids. Why shpuld Whyte do an extra work when he is only getting a flat fee and no % of sales. Would you go on to work on a saturday (for free) if your boss called you ?

I have some suspicions this fight doesnt happen either, dont know why but just an inkling.

What are you on about here? Warren insisted on the call that Whyte was contractually obliged to appear at the press conference and stated that Queensbury have already written to Whyte’s lawyer to express an intent to pursue damages for that contractual breach after the fight. Whyte’s halfwit lawyer did not contest that during the radio call.

Going by your logic, no mandatory challenger ever should have to appear at a boxing press conference.

Whyte could have attended and just said nothing or given minimal responses which is something that hundreds of fighters have done before. But Warren insisted that he was obliged to attend.
