If you were offered 20m for a few months you didn't want to do, should you turn it down?

    No.

    .
This is like the third time you come to Lance's defense. One can only imagine why. LOL

And a bit hostile too, for whatever reason, must be that "homotional" thing you keep talking about.

And go back and read your post and see how many instances of irony you can spot. I'd be more than happy to share them with you.:eaea:

Hmm Bit harsh as I asked the question, It’s a relevant point you are targetting Lance with your little freind & plain to see....Sorry that you feel my posts are slightly hostile, they are not intende to be , now I realise that you are a fragile & homotional person but with a sneaky mowt I shall take that into account. One last thing Pumpy, dont let your imagination run away with you regarding my support towards lance ...i just don't like snakes...

    It's a pretty pointless fight.

Canelo has actually challenged himself to a fair degree since they fought, while Golovkin has sat around stagnating while he waits for another big payday to fall in his lap — the Mexican doesn't need the Kazakh, doesn't get anything much out of beating him at this stage.

Golovkin, for his part, has the age excuse to fall back on if he loses legitimately.

I expect a third bout would go to points. But if Golovkin is stopped by Canelo, there will be meltdowns.

GGG should go for the KO even if it means getting KO’d himself.

I said this before the 2nd fight.
& couldn’t figure out when Canelo started to press him why he started fighting off the back foot.
he Didn’t walk him In to anything big,
    just jab Jab jab.

well obviously that couldn’t & ain’t gonna get it done.

    he’s gotta channel his inner
    Márquez vs Paquiao 4.
Even if he gets slept himself.

    I agree with this.

An emphatic Golovkin victory is the only possible outcome by which this bout could turn out to be sportingly useful.

If Canelo clearly outpoints or stops him, guys whine that Golovkin is old.

If it's the type of fight that could conceivably be scored either way, controversy follows and we're in the same spot we were in before the third chapter.

But if Golovkin can win in conclusive fashion, there's some significance in it.

Firstly, he'll have beaten a very good fighter in Canelo, which would represent the pinnacle of his career (a modest pinnacle, by comparison to the feats his fanfare and advertising once tabbed him for, but a pinnacle nonetheless).

Secondly, he'll have beaten him while past the peak of his prime, even if far from running on fumes (I saw a fighter in a good state of preservation last time out, not a shot one).

It wouldn't propel him to all-time greatness, but it'd give a much more solid look to his body of work and firmly define him as one of the lesser legends of the sport, nipping at the fringes of the historical top table (a la Tszyu), which is considerably better than where the miserable SOB currently sits.

Long time GGG fan , but more than one occasion I have said GGG has passed his sell by date. But...if he were to follow Hanz advice & imo ditch ineffectual Banks as a trainer get say Roach or better still Buddy Mcgirt he could do it...**** or bust is the only way...

Canelo needs to really win before real fans say he won, you know this. The real fans aren't payed off judges.
