70s Foreman was a bit overrated IMO

 Weren't you the one calling Eddie and I insecure? Yet every time we get in a debate, you always tag other posters, a lot smarter than you, to try to fight your battles for you and/or attempt to gain acceptance from them like you did with Cobra
Which in this very thread has been proven to be a lie.

What a pathetic little man you are.

"Mental health?" Are you ****ing Tyson Fury?

And why would it matter if he got to PR less than 24 hours before? It's not even far from anywhere on the East Coast.

I think swag was referring to Foreman himself stating he'd been psychologically damaged by the Ali fight. And I'm pretty sure Puerto Rico is a bit different in climate than most places on the East Coast (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm just showing you, you aren't on the side with the actual boxing guys. I don't know why you keep going in circles trying to use words like "Little man" and other rubbish, you sound like an internet tough guy, you should be embarrassed. I just said I had no problem with @Glass City Cobra and I stand by that people can debate and not have a tantrum. Why are you so neurotic over a random sports forum opinion?

I don't even know what you're talking about here, but Foreman's post-Ali mental health issues are highly documented.

He had less than 24 hours to get acclimatized to the environment in Puerto Rico which was undoubtedly a handicap, and nobody without an agenda would say otherwise. Of course you wouldn't qualify under the latter criteria given your laughable thread: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/foreman-briggs-the-robbery-that-wasnt.663374/

I don't care if they think Foreman, is overrated. I might not agree but to each their own. My problem is you're an agenda driven tool which Cobra has pointed out above.

"You aren't on the side with the actual boxing guys." Please
Foreman shows up on this list at https://www.proboxing-fans.com/top-10-best-heavyweight-boxers-of-all-time_011112/
Foreman shows up at #3 here https://www.sportszion.com/ranking-top-10-greatest-heavyweight-boxers-of-all-time/

He also shows up at #5 here https://www.ringtv.com/410833-bill-caplans-20-greatest-heavyweights/

I could bring up countless other lists but it would be redundant. My point is, if Foreman was half as bad as you're making him out to be, like basically all of his best wins have an asterisk next to them, while all his losses or bad performances, are not excusable whatsoever, he wouldn't make any top 10 list ever.

Also, if I were an insecure manchild such as you, I could just as easily tag 20 times as many "actual boxing guys (?)" as you did to fight my battles for me.

 Pretty rich coming from the guy who made a complete ass of himself by mocking a poster's English, then instead of apologizing when made aware of him being a foreign citizen, you doubled down and accused him of lying about being from another country even though it was pretty obvious, then making a thread saying you were leaving https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/bye-for-now.674575/ (like ANYBODY gave a rat's ass), going as far as to say you were 99% sure it was your last post, came back the next day, became permabanned shortly after, then made this new account.
As I stated earlier you're an attention seeking man-child (or just a child) and now that moneyman is gone, you're second only to White Bomber (interestingly enough, he's also another returning permabanned member like yourself) as the worst poster on this forum.
Really? In this very thread Cobra has stated the following towards you.
Now you're trying to act like their's no ill will between you two? You're a clown.

By "mental health" and being "psychologically damaged" are we referring to Foreman's lack of confidence in his ability to win twelve round decisions against guys who didnt fall over? That's actually a totally sane mental state considering that he didn't legitimately win a 12 round decision until he beat Crawford Grimsley decades later.

Why on earth would someone need to adjust to the climate in PR? PR is not at altitude. If you knew the sport as I do, you'd know that guys train at altitude so that they're acclimatized to the mountains and not the venue where they're fighting at. As for jet lag, this is only experienced when flying east to west in the US and would be a nonissue for Foreman.

These sound like straw grasping excuses made by FANS.

To what extent would altitude training have been standard in the 70s, though?

I will address the stuff I haven't answered because this is getting nowhere.

Foreman is in my top 10. Read the thread.

You aren't and still aren't on the side with the two guys on this Forum that know boxing on a deeper level then we.

I'm not trying to get anyone to "fight my battles" you're a dope. I'm just pointing out the actual trainers on this forum disagree with you.

Did I really? If I did I still don't care. I honestly think I was just trolling, it was about leverages or something silly like that. lol

Okay, last time because you desperately need to write this down.

I changed accounts because I thought "Hey maybe I am being an @$$" made a new account to reset, realized I am disagreeable by nature oops. Got banned on my other account because I was using it to DM someone and the mods like everybody else realized within 2 seconds it was me  I got banned on this account in lounge for swearing. W o a h and then they banned my other one because it's protocol

Now, why don't you stop being a diva and just keep it to boxing? What's your end game? I block you, you block me? You keep sending me endless messages and hit a brick wall and keep repeating the same dribble like in every thread... But I get it you're passionate I was a Benitez Stan for a while, but you're more like a 70s HW groupie.

Now if your next post is another cookie cutter angry neck beard novel of garbage don't expect a response. Regards

I am pretty sure the summers in Texas are hotter then the ones in Rico or about the same... People are acting like he was from the UK.

I don’t know where Foreman trained for Jimmy Young, but boxing gyms are humid places and the weather in San Juan in March (when they fought) is generally tolerable and nothing like the swampy summer weather.

And of course Young had to fight in the exact same weather.

Average temperature at night in Puerto Rico during March is in the low 70s. It’s as if they tried to kill Foreman.

Now I feel like I've attempted to take away from Young's victory. If so, it was unintentional. Young did a fine job and showed heart and great skill.
