I hate it when they do that. Eubank and Hamed were the same. Shannon Briggs could be a bit annoying too but you wouldn't have wished that beating from Vitali on anyone. I do wish all obnoxious fighters could just channel their inner Bruce Seldon in defeat.
I actually like Hector Camacho, but even if you don’t you have to admit that when his mouth (or his outfits or general outrageousness) wrote a check his fanny couldn’t cash … his chin still could. And he had those legs. But if it meant hanging around and taking his comeuppance from Felix Trinidad or JC Chavez, he wasn’t the type to look for a soft landing spot. He was in it to the end. Which, when you think about it, is pretty Macho.
You and me think a lot alike. Eubank was perhaps the most noble in this regard, never out on anything softer then his shield he’d punch till it was over, it paid off against Watson.
In contrast to Robert Duran, who some people defend for quitting because ‘well if he wasn’t in his absolute best shape why should he actually hang around and hope he lands a big punch or keep trying and lose with dignity?’ Like nobody in just OK shape ever hung in there and kept trying.
This has always bothered me. He made weight, he knew what was going to happen soon after the first bout and I’m pretty sure the “Duran was 200lbs” myth has been debunked hasn’t it? Anyways, he was in good enough shape to be scarcely a point behind.

On changing foregone conclusions - Trying to stuff the toothpaste back in the tube.. On George Foreman's comeback - 'At an age when he should be exercising little more than caution, George has thrown that to the wind.'

I really like Antonio Margarito tho, but too bad pretty much everybody hates him. He had a chin made out of vibranium, it is simply unbreakable and almost unshakable. Watching his fight against Pacquiao, Cotto, Mosley, Cintron, Martinez, Williams and others... He simply never fail to surprise me with that diamond like of a chin of his. He shook all of those bombs like it was nothing and always came back of his own. An underrated combination and body puncher for the latter too. I enjoy Margarito, I love his style and I love his fights. I find the hates towards a bit too much, I know the plaster hands n' all but there are people who is known for actually murdering people. For example Monzon, he's just an uncontrollable psychopath who kept abusing and beating up his wives, literally killing the other one in the process. But somehow, he is remembered for being a legend, a talented boxer and one of the greatest to have enter the ring. What makes him a much better person than Margarito? I don't recall Margarito killing anybody. In fact, he seems to have taken good care of his daughter too. Sure he might cheat on some of his fights, but that's the only thing I see about him.
