If Fury beats Whyte then retires he will be HOF worthy partly for the reasons already mentioned combined with being the second heavyweight champion ever to retire undefeated.

Wlad Klitschko will always stand out as a big name win on his record but those who know boxing can put that win into some genuine perspective. WK was near the end of his career, bored & unmotivated it was the worst version of Wlad we’d seen in 10 years. It was also a terrible performance from Fury but he was marginally better than Wlad so he won in what is almost universally agreed to be the worst world title fight ever seen.

Then we come to Wilder, the most over protected, over hyped con job in Heavyweight history. A tertiary glance at his resume reveals the lengths and depths to which his handlers went to ensure he stayed unbeaten for so long, a criminal attempt to rob the boxing world of Marciano’s 49-0 record. Wins over the glass canon which now seems more like a glass catapult is no measure of All Time Greatness.

Fury has been his own worst enemy, mental issues aside, he hasn’t been active enough amongst the top level fighters of his generation, the above mentioned 2 fighters are his only forays into the world of real challenges and matches. Fighting Whyte will help his record a bit, if he wins.

IMO he needs to beat Whyte, Joshua, Usyk, Parker, Joyce and probably a couple of others before the question of ATG & HoF become valid.

 

Based on purely resume? No. Based on a mixture of resume, great trilogy and personality yes. Similar to Gatti, who got in mainly because of his exciting fights.

Cool, so how many days did you spar this week to be so knowledgeable about it? When you spar a guy you sparred before, does it always go the exact same way it went last time, or are you both developing and trying out different things?

Dillian's sparring tales come out of his ass. Nobody is corroborating his version of how his sessions with Fury went down. (Nobody who actually matters, anyway.)

Whyte sparking Fury is not going to happen, man. If it's something you desire, by all means, hope and pray for it, cling to Dill's old gym myths and those Pajkić and Cunningham knockdowns, but take my advice and don't put any significant sums on it unless you like throwing your dough away.

Lets go on what we know. Fury can't deal with pucnchers of some skill or pressure in general. Fat John McCdermott beat him and he ws robbed! Do you deny that?
