Lot's of guys have claimed to have been drugged or poisoned. How many guys do we know for a fact have been?

Exactly the question I've asked in a couple threads! I think the answer was: only one or two occasions have been (mostly) confirmed, involving journeymen.

Never seen film of thumbing either... Have you ever seen film of punches to the heart? In the old days it was as sort after a target as the liver/solar plexus.

What does this have to do with your question? You asked Cobra how hot it was that night which was supposedly "unrelated" and my post was a reply to that discussion.

I think a couple fights have clear film of thumbing, but they are rare. There were a couple very clearly filmed examples in the early MMA days -- the SAFTA guy in the UFC, and Gordeau's thumbing of Yuki Nakai -- but in boxing they seem to be rarer due to the gloves.

We have film of fights between contenders that included thumbing -- Ali/Terrell for example -- but I don't think there's any consensus on when it happened. Or whether it was intentional.

Dunno about punches to the heart; I've never looked.

I wish we'd have film of the old days. Thumbing and elbows galore!

    Hi Buddy.
Not really with your assertion that Foreman was a bully and got beat because Ali stood up to him, for the record Ali is my No 1, just by way of balance, my take on the way the fight ended was more to do with Foreman being totally exhausted, and having nothing left in the tank, as you will know he took full bloodied right crosses early in the fight, and walked through them, I rather feel his battle plan was at fault, and he should have paced himself for a longer struggle, it was unlikely Ali was going to fold in a couple of rounds, given his chin, courage, and will to win. stay safe buddy. chat soon.

You should be impressed by people’s wins. It’s the only thing we can judge people by. Beating an oit of prime version of fighters is obviously noted.

a 40 year old Foreman came back and competed in the same era as Vitali…not sure that reference holds. I’m not downing Vitali but his resume is rather weak. Especially compared to Foremans

I disagree with the radical opinion that Foreman was a bit overrated.

But I'm open to being convinced that Foreman was overrated a bit.

Maybe I was being a little harsh but the question with these guys that destroy people is what happens when they get into a real fight. Granted it was against Ali but Foreman looked pretty lost in there. I wouldn't exactly say he walked through those right crosses thought. I think they were having an effect.
