I know he’ll be well paid for them but fair play to Kambosos, his first point of call after winning the belts was a toss up between Haney and Loma. Could have easily dined out on the victory and had a few soft touches first.
Haney has bet on himself doing what needs to be done to get the undisputed fight. Two fight deal isn't really Haney commiting to top rank its just necessary to get the fight.
Going to be tough for Haney to get a result in Australia I think..barring him bashing up kambosos that is.
Kambosos v Haney is a decent fight and big respect to Kambosos for his willingness to fight the best. I didn’t think he would beat Lopez but glad he did. I think Haney’s lack of any real pop in his punches makes Kambosos a slight favourite.
I'm not so sure Devin Haney will return to Matchroom, but time will tell. In any case, he needs to show the world that he is the real thing - no matter who his boxing promoter is.
I think GK's speed, willingness to win, and not having to cut so much weight will see him take this easier than people think. Haney is an overrated weight bully.
