Crawford’s career has been mismanaged and handled horribly. He’s getting older and hasn’t had any real significant scalps on his resume. People will say that no one wants to fight him, or he’s not with the right people. To me that’s BS, the fighter in the end calls the shots.

which isn’t saying much in the context of Crawford, khan and Brook were washed up, and Gamboa and Porter was past it none of those guys were elite when Crawford fought them.
His best wins are Postol and a dubious stoppage over Porter in a fight he was losing.
    That ain’t great

He has the skills but don't have the resume to prove that he is.

Or maybe race and promotion play bigger roles than we think

He doesn't have any big scalps on his resume.

Brook and Khan stand-out name wise but we all know they were on the slide.

He needs a few names like Errol Spence, Josh Taylor etc but time is running out........

Talent wise, I think so. BBut he's also left it too late to prove it, wasted potential.

Floyd always loses all fantasy fights but always wins real ones, funny how that works.

He could be but his resume doesn't prove it.

I don’t think it’s a racial thing as much as it’s boxing politics and posturing. The promoters egos get in the way of a fighters career more often then not unfortunately……

I agree... I think if Floyd was naturally the same size as Hearns, Benitez, Leonard, Duran, and Hagler it would be 50/50 with him beating at least two of the fighters listed (Duran and Hagler)

But is Hearns, Duran, Benitez, and Hagler really that much better than Floyd? I would make the argument that Floyd was actually more skilled than those three.

Outside of Duran, they were noticeably bigger than he was. Outside of Benitez-and this would be arguable as well. See Maurice Hope- they were bigger p4p punchers than Floyd. Outside of El Radar, he was clearly defensively better than the other 4. And he might be better than Benitez there as well. Of the 5 mentioned here, he was probably the most fluid movement wise.
