Is George "Ferocious" Kambosos unbeatable?

    So you mean Lopez reverted to form after the Loma fight (or after the sixth round), agreed.
    I remember it differently, I remember Teo getting completely clowned in the second half of that fight before a spirited effort in the twelfth. I picked Kambosos in their fight because of how Teo looked in that Loma fight (and because he always appeared unfocused and sloppy in his fights before Loma). I guess boxing is a subjective sport like that.

    As a tangent, Teo could beat most guys if he wasn’t such a mental midget. If he was humble and focused he could do anything with his athleticism.

    I haven't yet. I even gave him a shot at beating Teofimo. I'm still pissed with myself for not picking him. Merely keeping it real and in perspective.

    I picked Kambosos to stop Selby. Who was coming off of back to back to back terrible performances. He was beaten to a pulp by Josh, looked bad against Douglas and should've drawn with or even lost to Burns. George took nothing. Because Josh didn't leave him anything to take.:deal: Regardless, Selby is the same fighter George fought, it wasn't like he took a ton of damage in that match.He was outpointed, nothing more. The reality is, Lemos' style would''ve always been a problem for Lee, even a prime pre-Josh version. Lemos demolishes any version of Selby.

    The very motivation you stated here;
    Lemos was an eliminator for an IBF shot and Selby was pursuing a title rematch with Kambosos (or, as it has transpired, a bout with Haney if Haney beats George — either way, Selby would have been challenging for a bunch of 135 lb marbles and the distinction of having held world titles in two divisions). He didn't take on such a treacherous assignment (travelling far from home to box a strong, marauding pressure fighter in an unfamiliar, hostile environment) for no reason.


    Chris is correct, the idea that GKJ took Selby's soul is a nonsensical conceit. Lemos would've been much too much for the 2020 Lee, too.

    I’m glad he beat Lopez and it took everything from him to win. Limited Lopez was able to hurt and put him down. He is a very beatable fighter
