Now Brook & Khan are demanding too much money, Conor Benn has mentioned another British star in an interview… Josh Taylor. Personally I don’t think they’ll put him anywhere near Taylor at the minute. Although Taylor looked poor against Catterall he’ll be rejuvenated up at 147 and 10 times better than anyone Benn has been in with so far. Taylor wins that fight clearly.

No chance. He's not yet ready for the likes of a Josh Taylor. People are going to start sleeping on Taylor after the Catterall fight, forgetting he became undisputed inside 18 fights which is more or less unheard of. 1 poor performance in 19 doesn't suddenly make you a bad fighter and hopefully we'll see him back to his best up at 147. As for Benn, I'd really like to see him in with a live dog... it's all well and good fighting over the hill has been's with a name but when your then calling out the likes of Shawn Porters etc afterwards it just looks silly.
Not something i see happening anytime soon but could be huge down the line.Taylor needs to get a decent win at 147 in the meantime and rid the stink of the catterall performance.
I agree and am not a fan, he’s so unlikeable, but tbf he has next to zero amateur experience so he needs as many fights as possible.
I really dislike that excuse, if amateur experience is so important as they keep telling us then go fight in the amateurs. Fighting past it knock overs isnt going to teach him anything better than what he could in the ams. Hes 25, made his pro debut at 19, he could have done 3 years easily and be pretty much where hes at now, its all smoke and mirrors.
Why are British fans so obsessed with talking about Benn? He has done naff all so far. A typical manufactured Hearn hype job.
I'll fight Porter then he fights Vargas. I'll fight Taylor but really Van Heerden is more his level. It's just thowing out a name to keep someone at Sky writing a few lines... Keep his name out there. Marketing is all it is. Benn could do worse than challenge for the British title - I know he won't but this get a world title by way of marketing annoys the hell out of me.
Marku is fighting Chris Jenkins who is better than anyone Benn has fought. He might have fought bigger names but they were finished before he fought them. His team won't let him fight Avanesyson, so no chance of Taylor.

Benn is so full of it, people lap it up too. On the plus side he can’t do it forever going to get leveled out soon enough.
