For what it's worth, he cracked the Top 20 in a survey I conducted here in the Classic Forum a year and a half back.

Hard for the contemporary and past several decades to match up with the top class boxers from the 30's-50's for a number of reasons.

Floyd was the best of his time frame which he fought. Where that puts him compared to all of history is both a worthwhile and worthless debate. As all things, up to the beholder.

If he had fought PAC when it mattered, and Golovkin and beat them both which I think he would have then yes. But he didn’t.

Floyd Mayweather is not a GOAT.
That would mean he is the best boxer of all time, and that is not the case.
Being undefeated in professional boxing is not the only example. Rocky Marciano (no one calls him GOAT for the same reasons), Joe Calzaghe, Andre Ward ... and many others.

Of course, everyone has the right to their free opinion. I have the right to think that my neighbor is a GOAT boxer.

Where would you rank Floyd all time if he beat Casamayor and Freitas at 130, Dorin at 135, Hatton and Tzsyu at 140, Pacquiao in 2011, Bradley in 2012, Canelo without a catchweight in 2013, Brook and Porter in 2014, and Thurman in 2015?

If he did, he'd have beaten 30 world champions, and retire with a record of 58-0. I don't think anyone would argue with calling him a top 10 ATG.

If he'd done that he'd be top 5. Because that would have been an unbelievable streak.

No. I'd rank him no higher than #5, no lower than 15. I will need to do some homework. Off the top of my head I cannot think of 14 fighters that have a better combination of opposition, dominance, longevity and accomplishments. Although his op my not have been top notch, he did have a lot of mind level guys that went on to regain titles. Dominance, at his peak, he looked untouchable and damn near was. He has a long career in which he remained undefeated and got titles in 5 diffrent divisions. Pretty impressive.

Did he ever become undisputed at any weight? People who are serious about boxing would put Usyk far above someone like Mayweather for what they achieved and contributed to the sport. Mayweather however was pretty good at rinsing fans for ppv loot.
