This matchup makes me wonder. Both had approximately equal chins and punching power. I think that Norton was better and I'm not sure if Moorer had the power to hold him off. Although that Southpaw style could make things interesting.
I'm going with the 90 s guy here. This turns in to a blast away fight, and Kenny comes off worse. Moorer stops him in 6.
Moorer probably knocks out Ken…not the popular opinion (no I don’t have Ken) I just don’t rate him as high as others.
Ken all the way. He basically fought four even fights against the 1st and 4th greatest Heavyweights of all-time
Not really. Norton is the better boxer, and Moorer literally went down almost anytime a decent heavyweight caught him on the chin. It wasn't just home run punches that hurt him. Moorer would fight tentatively against a skilled operator like Norton which would allow Ken to impose his will. When Ken Norton isn't forced backwards, he is a formidable fighter.
This fight could be very exciting, Moorer was involved in some good scraps Stewart, Cooper, and Norton always comes forward. I think Norton stops him between 8-10 after a few shakey moments, Moorer was a little bit chinny at Heavyweight. But saying that I think Moorer has a chance in the early going, to maybe pull off the upset. Moorer had a vicious uppercut on him, see the KO of Bert Cooper and Alex Stewart fight. And with Norton's cross arm defence, he could be vulnerable to that punch. So the first 3 rounds would be a bit nerve wracking for Norton.
