He had the money and HBO behind him. He could have pushed to become great. Instead he jumped weight classes and waited for fighters to be out of prime before going for them. Great promoter and great at making money but he chose not to be great.

Floyd fought many men at the right time, which has led to him being both under rated and over rated imo.

He's over rated from a H2H point of view because his fans think he's unbeatable.

He's under rated from a resume point of view because his detractors think it has too many asterisks.

I have him inside the top 20. But I do have Pacquiao ahead of him and I think Usyk and Crawford have a realistic chance of overtaking him.

Usyk of he beats AJ and Fury.

Crawford if he beats Spence/Ugas and Charlo/Castano.

If Uysk beat AJ and Tyson he would be well in front of Floyd.

You've got to be special kind of idiot to think Floyd is any near being the goat. You've got to be extremely dense to gloss over his opportunism/cherrypicking, deck stacking and outright cheating.

He arguably has two losses in Maidana and Castillo.

His best win is flat footed ginger red faced swinger Canelo, who was drained and later lost to Lara and arguably Trout.

I really struggle to understand how you think if Crawford gets those wins he jumps above Floyd.
I know you are younger than me (admittedly I don't know your age but I'm guessing about 32 - 34) and may not have seen Floyd's earlier career
Look at Floyd's win over Corrales. That was a big fight pitting the 2 best SFWs against each other, with both undefeated
I think that was every bit as big a fight as Crawford/Spence if they fought next.
Both Floyd and Corrales definitely had comparable resumes at that time to the respective fighters you mentioned.
Look at how Floyd beat G Hernandez (a HOFer) which I think is a bigger win than either Crawford or Spence have
Then throw in Floyd's other good SMW wins over top SFWs like Manfredy, who I think was #2 to Floyd when Floyd beat him, Chavez who went on to become a SFW champ and win titles in another weight division, C Hernandez who went on to become a SFW champ. Juuko, Vargas, Gerena were all world when Floyd beat them, and that is just SFW

People forget Floyd's body of work at SFW before he moved up

You can't rank above pbf when your best win is faded mab and you lost to your rival in pbf wide and have many bad loses.

    Crawford doesn't have a prayer.

Usyk hasn't done enough he dominated Cw but how really good were those guys there? Cw historically is a weak nobody division. Aj got stopped by Ruiz before Usyk beat him that's something alot of people don't like to mention. If he beats Fury that will be great but how much is Fury into boxing right now? He seems to be checked out and is dealing with mental health issues. A win over fury won't place him over pbf that's ridiculous.

Pbf was the best boxer of his era period end of discussion. The guy had like 2 or 3 close fights in his whole career and dominated everyone else won titles from 130-154 while making it look easy in the process. He ranks over all those other fighters hands down he gets bashed because people didn't like him personally and his style which is an unfair way to rate someone. I always say this if pbf had pacs 72-8-2 record and career and pac had pbfs 50-0-0 record and career no one here would be saying pbf is greater than pac in fact they would laugh at his 8 loses laugh at how many times he was knocked out and say he was schooled by pac and say pac was easily greater. They rate pac higher because they like him as a person more and his style more. His resume and skill don't place him above pbf.

Crawford overtaking Floyd? Not a chance.

When Floyd was Crawford's current age, he had already won world titles in 5 different weight classes, and beaten the likes of Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Marquez and Hatton. Crawford didn't even fight for a world title until he was 26. Floyd won a world title when he was 21. Completely different careers.

PBF was an amazing boxer and no doubt belongs in the top 25 or maybe even the top 20 of all time but not even close to The Best Ever in the sport not even the Best Ever in the past 25 years IMO

Pac was the number 1 flyweight in the world, then the number 1 featherweight in the world, then the number 1 welterweight.

    It's astonishing what he achieved.

As for Usyk, if beats AJ and Fury he's dominated and cleaned out two full divisions and at the upper end, he gets bonus points for me.

If Crawford beats this two I said, he's been unified champ in 4 consecutive divisions which is insane as well.

Like I said, I have Floyd top 20,so he's in the top tiny percentile. A true great. At this level places mean nothing.

Even the top 100 fighters of all time are in the top 1% of all fighters who have ever stepped in the ring. The top 20 is like the top 0.00001%.

bruh Floyd didn’t become the top dog until after he beat de la Hoya and at that point in time he had already been lineal at 130 twice, lineal at 135, lineal at 147, and lineal at 154.
Also how you ducking fights from guys who on video saying stuff like they got a toothache and can’t fight? You got guys like Cotto who have said out they own mouth that a fight was never offered and he never tried to make a fight at 140 or 147 because he wasn’t ready.
For all the talk about resume Floyd beat the last 2 undisputed Welter champs, a top 2 154 Champ, and the undisputed jr welter champ in b2b2b fights. Even when he came back fought the guy who whooped his biggest rival fought the #1 welter fought the highest rated welter behind him and manny for a title, fought an unbeaten unified champ at 154, then beat the p4p #2 fighter in his division.
Y’all be ridiculous if you don’t like Floyd as a person or promoter ok but as a fighter y’all trying to discredit this man sound dumb as hell.
