What are some of boxings tragedies?

    Isidro 'Gino' Perez comes to mind for me, Rich the Historian did a great video on what he suffered. In 1981 Gino would fight Fred Bowman who fell into a coma in the locker room while unlacing his shoes following a 6 round TKO at the hands of Gino, and would die a year later. Gino would fight Juan Ramon Cruz in 1983 and be stopped in round 7 by TKO, Gino collapsed on his stool in the ring, falling into a coma and would die 6 days later.

    When you say tragedies , you mean only in the ring, or family, accidents, suicides etc, .

    Mancini vs Kim is the worst one in the ring, not just because of Kim dying. But the referee and Kim's mom committed suicide over the fight.

    Ok so, Papke shot his wife then killed himself, Kid McCoy suicide, Bummy Davis shot by gunman robbing a store, Cerdan @ Marciano plane crashes, JJ car crash died, Galindez killed on race circuit, Bonavena shot at brothel, Turpin Suicide, to start with... stay safe guys.

    Not boxer-related, per say; but the brutal **** and murder of 7 year old Christine Butcher who was making her way to introduce herself to Sugar Ray Robinson on the eve of the Randy Turpin fight. Still unsolved to this day as far as I know.

    Luis Resto - Billy collins is up there with biggest tragedies and is made all the more heinous with Panama Lewis basically getting off
