    Could:
    Barney Ross
    Antonio Cervantes
    Aaron Pryor

    Would:
    Jose Napoles
Roberto Duran (if he wanted to fight at that weight)

    The Duran V Chavez fight!!
Jose, he could perhaps imo get him self a decision. But tough, hard fight.
Pryor, would love to have seen those two clash!

I think Pernell Whitaker beats him at 140 or 135 …they’re both all time greats

I'm putting in Sugar Shane Mosely. He has the speed, the chin, moved very well at 135 weight plus was a legit puncher there. He had fight changing power below 147. Looking back Shane was rock solid and very durable at 147 and 154 and kept his speed. He boiled down the LW and would be the bigger man in this match up.
    Mosely's stats: 5'8 1/2, 71 inch reach
    JCC's stats: 5'7 1/2, 66 inch reach.
Any one that big with a punch plus angles has a good chance against JCC. Shane was an excellent body puncher against smaller opponents at LW, this and his jab became less effective the higher weights he moved up. , Was his opposition elite at LW? no it wasn't and he had zero fights at 140 but look at the first DLH fight, he transitioned just fine to 147 so I will take a jump and say he would be just as good at 140.

You didn’t say if he had to be prime or not.
But seriously, Quite a few guys most have been mentioned though. I don’t think there’s many names left besides say welters willing to cut. Heck Robinson could’ve made JWW.

Hate to say it, but the elephant in the room here is Floyd.

This although i don't much about Barney Ross, i'd maybe add Shane Mosley, ODLH and Pernell Whitaker to the list aswell. And could Niccolino Locche possibly pull off the upset ?

I don't think so no Mayweather in my view, lost to JCC's sparring partner Jose Luis Castillo. And even in the rematch Mayweather lost 5 rounds vs Castillo. If he's having hell vs a poor's man JCC, he ain't beating a prime JCC.

I just feel in Mayweather, JC would be facing a safety first version of Meldrick Taylor. Late rally by Chavez, but a Routine UD for Floyd.

The one that beat Roger Mayweather in 1989. That version.

Taylor was effective vs Chavez, because he threw a ton of punches and dozens of lightning fast combinations. That's nothing like what Mayweather fights like.

If you see when Mayweather's uncle, tried to fight Chavez with shoulder roll style, Chavez ate him up for breakfast.

Now obviously Mayweather Jr is better than Roger, but a prime JCC is also better than Jose Luis Castillo.
