After Joshua fought Usyk, he took a week or 2 to activate the rematch clause. Hearn and Krassyuk negotiated as expected, but as far as we can tell, it didn't go anywhere for several months at least until now i guess. Why is that ??? Eddie Hearn kept pushing it back from March, then April, then May, and now late June. During that negotiation period. No confirmed site, no confirmed date, no confirmed base purse, just no details and it went on for several months on until Russia invaded Ukraine, as if Hearn knew it was going to happen and stalled for time, which also allowed more time for the bodybuilder to adjust to his new trainer. It also seems like Hearn tried to age Usyk out a little bit. Now all of the sudden that Usyk is back from the war and obviously negativly affected by it mentally and physically, will have less training and preparation time for the rematch than Joshua has had, and will be more aged due to Hearn stalling, both parties have progressed much quicker with details on the rematch than before. It's as if he's planned for this, trying to catch Usyk at a bad time. Strange isn't it.
War prepares the soul for battle Joshua doesn't have that mental strength as he's never been through anything similar.

He has gone through the trauma and turmoil of war even if he didnt patcicipate in it. Beterbiev lived through TWO Chechen wars against Russia. It changes your character.
I guess people don't seem to understand that Hearn doesn't have to create events in order to insidiously exploit them. He's the kind of person who would tell his poser fake-gentry friends at a garden party how brave and noble Usyk was for helping out in the war of '''good versus evil'', but at the same time keep checking for updates on his phone hoping Uysk was KIA and in the meantime making calls to the governing bodies trying to organise AJ vs TBA for the belts, then figuring out a phony dedication to KIA Usyk on fight night, maybe a montage video with a ''Londoner'' rapper, in order to market the fight on the back of the war and increase the PPVs.
Exactly. Obviously Hearn has nothing to do with the events, but he stale the fight and after the event occur he plays his card masterful. Thia is his job and he is goddamn good about it. Usyk team at fault here. They should have asked/wanted a delay and even warm up matches. I think Usyk is far from prepared and he knows it. He is being used in here by the ones in power(Ukrainian), cause that way Ukraine will get more sympathy, and of course publicity.
This is Eddie Hearn you are talking about. Not sure if the strategic delays were planned, but may have played out due to lack, rather than an evil genius mastermind. He is certainly no genius, or a mastermind.
