Done it before and never again (Froch-Groves), appreciate some people live for the atmosphere but it’s not my cup of tea at all.

It’s a great experience as a one off but the view is so poor that it’s not worth repeating it. Never mind the nightmare getting out the stadium back on the road home and also having to tolerate the complete eejits in the stands.

I was at the Brook Spence one as well. It took us about 2 hours to get a drink queuing at the bar. Still traumatises me to this day. And we ended up watching it on the big screen anyway we were that far away.

And they’d stuck a price board up over the football prices (that you could still see) where they’d added 2 quid on to the price of pints  not been to a stadium fight since and doubt I ever will.

I remember it well it was on the same day as the FA Cup final and the guy I went with is an Arsenal fan. We sobered up in that queue it took that long. They were pouring plastic bottled beer into plastic pint glasses it was ridiculous. It ruined the night tbf cos we missed most of it.

Agree. Stadiums are no use for boxing unless of course you pay the 1k+ and get remotely close to the ring.

Went to AJ v Povetkin. Sat at the back £40 ticket. Couldn’t see a thing… which wasn’t a bad thing during the Octopus vs Askin hugfest

I don’t get the obsession with having fights in football stadiums. I know it can be sentimental for a boxer but I reckon I’d rather fight in a packed arena than an open stadium.

Think the MEN is the biggest at 21,000

Even a half full stadium would seat twice that amount. As far as I know all the stadium fights so far in uk have been pretty much sold out, that’s a lot of extra £££

    This will be sold out.

Biggest fight in Britain since Turpin-Robinson.

I went to that fight too, it was a great experience for the atmosphere wasnt it , couldn't see a thing like, but yeh, as soon as groves hit the deck I was up out of my seat , down those stairs and out of that stadium to beat the crowds quicker than froch can say he fought in front of 80k at Wembley ...
