Who did you have winning going into the 8th?

    Ali.

The revisionist history is how Ali simply got Foreman to punch himself out and fatigue, then came on strong.

The reality is that Ali was landing clean shots to the head all night long, and despite taking some horrendous body blows, actually did a rather nice job defensively considering he spent so much time stationary on the ropes.

I agree however do you think anything would have been different if Foreman was allowed to continue? Probably gets dropped in the ninth and stopped but it would have been nice to see.

At that point Big George was losing the fight anyway. He was in dire need of a second wind and he wasn't getting one for sure. Had the referee let it continue, he'd been stopped in the 9th.

Who knows tbh..Ali looked good that round... All I know was that was a damn early stoppage.. First time Foreman really hurt in the fight, but tbh, he looked more exhausted than hurt... Bell was practically going to ring.. Then the ref calls it off.. Ridicuoius

It is far more accurate to say that Ali won every round than to say he had lost three.
