Golovkin is remarkable. A man his age battling a warrior like Murata in Tokyo. We all knew his level had dropped off and you could definitely see the concern on his face at times but he kept coming. It seems at this stage GGG's biggest problem is his endurance and taking shots to his body. They seem to take a lot out of him. I think Banks has done a nice job. GGG was slipping a lot and not getting hit squarely often. I hope the Canelo 3 doesn't happen because I think Canelo has gotten too big for him and he's too much younger. The gap is too great now. I just hope Bivol puts that fight on ice.

I've given you the cold, uncaring facts of the matter (i.e. a legitimate offer was made by Team Ward and turned down by Team Golovkin before Ward rightly moved on) — you can accept them, or you can continue to obfuscate and spin, talk about Spence and Crawford, pretend that Ward-Golovkin was only as big as Golovkin-Brook. Whatever. It's up to you.

If you watch that last right hand he landed on Murata, that follow up left hook could’ve really hurt him and luckily you could see triple G holding back and waiting to throw the punch when he finally turned back around because his back was facing him. Thank God that punched did not land cleanly as it might’ve put Murata into a ****ing coma seeing how he was already out on his feet when the right hand landed. That was a disgusting knockout. I can’t believe people thought he could continue and the corner was to quick to throw the towel. He was ****ing out on his feet, no question and went down on the canvas with his hands and knees, I don’t know if he would have beaten the count.

 

He has to be up there, gold medalist, 2 time titleholder who had technically beaten every opponent he stepped in the ring with, with convincing knockout revenge wins over both guys who beat him, top 5 rated guy, etc.
