One of least built up heavyweight fights in history! The promotion has been appalling and the undercard sucks balls big time! still I hope the fight goes ahead and will be tuning in
It's sold out Wembley and I've a feeling fight week will explode in terms of promotion, particularly when Whyte surfaces it has the potential to boil over. Think the hype train will really get going next week.
Hope so. It's sold out because ticket brokers bought them up. But there are tickets available everywhere. It'll be interesting to see how many bodies are there. The flurry next week may be massive discounts on tickets.
What a beautiful gesture from Big Frank and the guys gals down at Queensberry Promotions This content is protected
I'm not paying for this card out of principle. The undercard is a massive joke. Hope the main event is good but they need to do better.
Here in the US, I have not seen this fight mentioned once anywhere. Not on a single sports network, advertisement, or talk show. Typically when Fury fights there is buzz and he gets a good amount of coverage....but crickets.
They risk to lose more money wasting it on advertising than they do by doing nothing at all. I believe it's Fury's final ESPN contracted fight. Frank pretty much footing all the bill. They need ideally need 700-800k PPV buys though. Casual market will dictate what happens. See if the buzz picks up fight week.
They will get least 85-90k people in there, there's not actually that many tickets available on reseller websites, a few thousand at most.
700-800 is a big ask especially with Dillain "Hide in the Shadows" Whyte. Fury has a large presence in the American market now, I think if he fights on it would be wise to stay with ESPN.
Fury has 1 meaningful fight left in him and that will be the bodybuilder or the blown up cruiserweight. It will go down to bids again which the Saudi's will win.
