I'm Puerto Rican but always admired Mexican fighters. Assuming this list is strictly for Mexicans from Mexico, Mexican Americans, half Mexicans and Mexican residents should be off otherwise Napoles, Duran and De la Hoya make my list.

    1. JCC
    2. Canelo Alvarez
    3. Ruben Olivares
    4. Salvador Sanchez
    5. Vincente Salvidar
    6. Juan Manuel Marquez
    7. Erik Morales

Canelo if he beats Bivol then solidifies his rivalry with GGG is on pace to be the Mexican GOAT.

I would have tossed him in but am loathe to rank active fighters or at least ones still at or near their prime. I like to see how their careers play out, what is revealed during future battles. If they are just hanging on (think: Holyfield in his latter fights) I feel more comfortable ranking them, as their meaningful work is behind them.

Also, if I call Alvarez a neckless ginger abomination it should objectively affect his ranking, the pandered c#nt.

Sorry man, I can't have joint placement, I need who your 2 and 3 are. It is essential to the scoring.

There is another.... I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's ranking Castillo above Morales.

I know. It's a bit left field but he had A grade power and a Titanium A grade chin. He went neck and neck with the best version of Ike Quartey who I thought might have been the best welter in the world at the time ahead of Oscar, Whitaker, Trinidad.

He had all the tools bar the mindset as he had a surfer's mentality. I suppose his lack of achievements should keep him out of the honourable mentions even but, what can I say? I just like him.

Food for thought, look into Baby Alberto, he has a dominant win over a I believe prime (147lbs) Armstrong. But check boxrec and I think that’s enough to etch Canelo.

all tiebreakers go to Saldivar…seeing him outside of the top 3 makes me very confused…

seeing him called : Vincent Salvador on another list makes me weep

I think all of Canelo's win combined is better than Arizmendi's win over Armstrong. Remember, Canelo just made history and became the first SMW champion over 3 talented undefeated fighters. Not to mention he went up to LHW to knock Kovalev out. Beat GGG, Jacobs, Khan, Lara, Kirkland, Smith (liam) and notable names such as Lopez, N'dou and Trout
