    Nice work!

Norton had some great leverage on his shots - really an excellent puncher and perhaps a bit underrated in that dept. If you couldn’t get Ken out of there, and only the truly elite punchers managed it, he was going to give you hell all day and all night long if not put you out himself.

Kenny could pack a really mean punch if he actually lets his hand go. At least, that's how I describe his punching power

    Marciano Vs Walcott.
The second punch was unnecessary, superfluous, and did not change anything.

Sonny Liston vs Albert Westphal for me. That 1-2 combo is a thing of beauty. A great jab followed by a crisp hard straight right.

Can't believe we haven't talked about Joe Louis. Some of his KOs were brilliantly executed with a snap to the shot that made one look in awe. Here is his bout with Johnny Paychek. The KO comes at 3:29

He looked like he'd been shot with a 30-06 .

Those immediately came to mind and I agree , but I'll say the most unexpected one punch KO was Foreman over Moorer.

(I'll be sure to duck under my desk after this post, as a defensive measure, to avoid any projectiles thrown my way.)

I'm going with Ali's Anchor Punch in Lewiston, Maine. It's been a lot of fun during the years since, hearing about and reading all the comments about that fight. I can't think of any other one punch knockout that's been so thoroughly discussed! And that's still exactly how it appears in the Record Books - One Punch Knockout! I'm still enjoying reading and hearing about that one in 2022!

(From under the desk: "Fire away!" Lol.)

Foreman-Moorer - I watched it live with a bunch of guys I played cards with. One of them had been rooting for Foreman all evening leading up to the fight (chanting 'Down Goes Frazier' until we were all sick of it) . He became completely depressed once the fight started. Foreman looked like he had nothing. Then the same guy went insane when Foreman won. I was recording it. He asked me for a copy. I made him a tape with Foreman-Frazier (down goes Frazier) and Foreman-Moorer on it. Very memorable night.

Weaver-Tate - I was a teenager watching this at home live. Nobody was in the room except me. It had been a very boring fight. By round 15, I was just waiting for them to get on to the Sugar Ray Leonard fight. Then Weaver knocked him out. I couldn't believe it. That's all kids at school were talking about the next day. Apparently, everyone had seen it. That was before anyone had Sportscenter or the internet. Probaly the last time I remember everyone seeing a fight.

Lewis-Rahman I - I jumped out of my chair when Rahman stopped him. Scared my kids.

Lewis-Rahman 2 - Same thing happened. Jumped out of my chair. Everyone freaked.

All fights where the title changed hands.

I know they didn’t hit the deck and it was a bit like shooting fish in a barrel given the opposition, but the shots Ken laid on Stander and ultimately on a degraded version of Quarry (Jerry started the fight okay) were absolutely brutal. He was teeing off with his best stuff.

There is only one...Marciano KO's Jersey Joe Walcott in the 13th round in Philadelphia in 1952 to win the title!!!
