Over the last 2 years Ugas has been much more active than Spence and so has less ring. I also think Ugas’s slow calm and intelligent style will match well against Spence’s more attacking style and I think Ugas will be able to catch Spence whenever he tries to fight inside.
Activity is the one and only advantage you could argue Ugas has over Spence. That's probably the last advantage I would choose for myself if I could have only one.
I think it is going to be a fun and tough fight that Spence eventually stops him (maybe even getting hurt himself) but I feel like people won't give Spence any credit for what I feel would be a solid win. Ugas will give Spence some work but I think he is getting stopped. Looking forward to it.
Ugas is just so awkward and weird to fight. He's not great anywhere. He's slow as **** and he's also low volume but the way he fights it makes it difficult for his opponents to land clean and plenty. I think Spence will get to him though. But it could be an ugly one.
I actually think he's the most underrated boxer today tbh. He schooled Porter and Pacquiao and people think he's getting destroyed against Spence. I'll be mildly shocked if Spence wins this.
i think people are influenced by the fact he beat pac. hes a solid pro welter but not in spences league. spence is going to beat the fight out of him. its gonna look like the brook fight. people are gonna be glad pac didnt get any of that.
Yea it’s a difficult fight. Ugas has such a weird style and Spence hasn’t been forced to adapt mid fight too much in his career. Spence is gonna be jabbing and likely missing a lot but I think his better volume and more meaningful work will get him the win. I doubt he stops Ugas but it would be nice to see. Edit: Just saw the weigh in and Spence looks super drained. Ugas’ chances just sky rocketed for me
Spence finally fighting someone his size (if not bigger)... Might be a Banana skin.. But i doubt it given huge Ugas just about won against a 40yo + smaller politician.
Spence looking Skeletal at weigh in, think his days are done at 147. Needs to move up or he will get whopped via drainage
Spence should be the clear favorite and is likely to win but I won't count out Ugas' chances. He might end up giving Spence hell and be a tricky opponent.
Ugas is nothing special. Spence won't lose more than 2 rounds to him unless he's completely shot. They are levels apart in ability.
