So did T Hearns (longer reach) & he would have KO Bud come 2 think of it, Hearns is way better than Bud in prime.

 

Hearns was out-boxing Ray and probably would have out-boxed Bud, but it would have been a hell of a fight and one punch could turn the fight around from either fighter.

Leonard,Hearns and Duran have all got better resumes than Bud and are on another level.Crawford is good but yet to beat an atg unlike the aforementioned three

 

You mean Duran, Benitez, Hearns and Hagler? Maye you`re right, I wasn`t saying he was better than them just that he offers something different than all of them ecept Hearns. Haglar would have destroyed Bud, Ray used tons of movement v Hagler but Bud would be right in front of him.

 

Hearns and Duran were fantastic, I just don`t rate Ray, I don`t care that he beat those fighters, he didn`t look great v Hearns despite the hard shots that turne that fight around and I don`t believe he was great in tyhe no mas fight, he simply moved a lot combining speed with size and reach, Duran was the smaller fighter who showed amazing skill going toe to toe with Ray in Montreal.

 

Mark you are putting up a valiant defence but as everybody else knows you are plainly wrong

 

That’s my point which would be disastrous for Bud.

 

Forget Hagler, you need movement moving up and fighting monsters like that, however at welter Bud is something special, I don`t think Bud could beat any middleweight champ, he started at such a low weight.

 

This is the stupidest post I have seen on this site in quite some time.

 

I am not saying Bud is not special both he and Spence but guys like Duran, Hearns and SRL were extra special.

 

Even Bomac does not believe that. SRL beat better fighters than Bud.

 

Duran and Hearns would have toyed with Spence.

Bud has better fundamentals than Spence, Errol`s size would have helped him v Duran and Leonard though, he`s a huge welter.
