Ugas went from being criminally underrated to criminally overrated within the last 7-8 months. Spence has taken this fight for a reason and he should win. But has a couple of question marks on him so I will definitely not be putting any bet on it with my own money.
One thing that I do think helps Ugas is that Spence has one of the worst jabs I have ever seen in an elite fighter. But Spence is gonna land those big shots and I expect a consistent body attack from Errol.
Ugas is a good fighter but he's C + B - at best. Beating the ancient inactive shell of a near 43 y/o Manny who hadn't fought in two years doesn't change that
Yeah but Ugas has also lost to three low level guys, was hurt pretty badly one or two times by Abel Ramos in his fight prior to facing Manny even though Ramos barely let his hands go, and was dropped and sent to the hospital by a super green 7-0 Josh Taylor in the gym. Not to mention he's yet another 140 pounder who has come up which is a very recurring theme with Spence. I also watched Ugas go life and death and arguably lose to that Wolf guy from Georgia IIRC.
Ugas sonned Porter and got robbed. Spence and Terry went life and death with Porter. Ugas gonna surprise.
The common denominator is Porter who whilst a quality fighter has never really impressed me greatly. But I feel 147 is somewhat overrated in general. Spence's mando Jaron Super Boots Ennis impresses me but it looks like Spence has been laying the groundwork to pull the duck albeit granted Super Boots hasn't fought anyone of any note his own size yet. Nah, I stand by my assessment of Ugas
Complete Agreement with you, also Pac at almost 43, more than 2 years off and most likely burned out still made it hard, busted him up, he had grandpa legs and still landed and made the fight very competitive, throwing more than Ugas while consistently moving forward, while Ugas was on the retreat and just doing enough in most eyes to win the decision, imagine that.
Yeah that inactive grandpa version of Manny was washed and even the Manny of just a few years ago would've smashed him to bits.
No Opponent switch which leads to being Better prepared, now given the right time & adjustment's needed and we would be talking in a whole different manner.
