Boxing cards aren’t reflective of a fight. They are scored round by round. Why aren’t people understanding this? I had Butaev winning but I could see it 9-3 for Stanionis. Close rounds produce validly wide and varying scorecards. That’s how round by round works.

Scorecards aside, if you were to tell me that there was another welterweight that could stand toe to toe with Butaev these days I wouldn't have believed it. I could see him being outboxed but not out slugged. Whether you think Stanionis won or not he did fight the fight of his life tonight.

 

He's not having a different opinion. He's stalking his scorecards for weeks and always coming out of the dark when something like this occurs. He's just trolling and baiting. Olu is a POS and can **** himself.

 

Alright, I understand you’re emotional but settle down and be an adult. I had Butaev winning 3,4 and 9 clearly. I had Butaev winning by 2 rounds. I could accept a Stanionis 9-3 scorecard because many of those rounds were too tough to call. If somebody prefers Stanionis’s cleaner and heavier punches in all those rounds then fine, I like body punches, aggression and creativity so I scored more rounds for Butaev. This is how round by round scoring works. You are not scoring the fight as a whole. If that’s what we were doing I’d probably only accept a draw. I think you’re confused about scoring fights.

I think we're saying something similar. There's definitely some room to maneuver on the cards in a fight like this.

Still, I think there were about four rounds that I could consider pretty clear Butaev rounds, and the same number that I would score for Stanionus, but, in lieu of scoring even rounds (which is something that should be revisited more often, imo), there were at least a couple of the remainder to Stan which makes him a deserving winner, imo.
