Good performance by Spence. His work rate and engine are very impressive but like I said he's a burger and chips type fighter and that chin is suspect. Ugas was very disappointing. Even though he isn't a big puncher he hurt Spence badly and made him do the stanky leg but he refused to let his hands go and just stood there behind his high guard eating punches all night. And even worse leaning face first into uppercuts.

I use this think Spence and Bud was close to 50/50 but man Spence was hurt a few times tonight….I think Bud would show us that evil BMF streak and stop Spence.

Side note this was the worst job from Cole as a ref in a hot minute—What a total screw up on his part several times tonight

There is a reason Porter gave Spence the most trouble and why a lot of people thought a not-shot Pacquiao, even an old one, had a chance; you don't try to conservatively outbox Spence from the outside. You have to get in his grill, be as willing to trade on the inside as Spence is, and force him to back up. Pot shotting from the outside, even with excellent timing like Ugas has, can only work for so long before Spence just beats you down.

Crawford, of course, will absolutely get in Spence's grill and beat the unholy **** out of him.:deal:

Was concerned by how sloppy he was at times, it's natural for him to look worse against a guy like Ugas though (who I rate as a much better win than Danny Garcia at this point in their careers). Feel bad for Ugas with the whole mouthpiece incident but Errol's workrate was more consistent throughout the fight

I don’t know why you get so precious at times but that was a great fight and my boy provided the necessary separation. Ugas is a hard man. Now let’s get EJ and Bud to get it on.
