Thats how Spence tries to avoid the combo body shots - hit him once on the body he pivots back to avoid the second one. He has always done this unlike Ugas who was stationary getting chopped down with bodyshots.

 

Why would he do something that doesn't work and has never worked, when there is a blueprint for something that DOES work and Crawford is really, really good at it?

 

He can’t fight that way with someone who is fighting back, no offense to Ugas but he stood in the pocket inactive…horrible strategy.

 

Exactly it was essentially a free shot. If anything it shows he takes a great shot. He regrouped and put it on Ugas forcing the stoppage. He created the necessary separation in class.

 

I did say Spence was the obvious favorite. Or did you miss that part?
