I doubt Spence can handle that hand speed

I'd vote Spence, he's much bigger than Taylor and he's a good fighter in his own right. Taylor was going to compete at 135 but the Duvas also had Whitaker so up Meldrick went go 140 where he was pretty good, but 147 I always felt that though he did decent there he was undersized.

I do like Meldrick Taylor though and he would give it his best against Spence.

This is a tough one but I’m going with Taylor. Better hand speed but both are good boxers and Spence is so big. Another matchup I would like to see because it would be a great fight.

Great match up could go either way.Gun to the head i would have to go for Spence mainly due to his size

    Spence would stop Meldrick late.

Doubt Taylor could handle Erroll’s size, physicality and relentlessness.

Aaron Davis was a pretty big welter and pretty strong and Mel handled him.
I don't think Spence has ever seen speed like Taylor's and Taylor would be too fast.

Meldrick didn't know when to stop fighting toe to toe sometimes. Spence would obviously need to cut down his body. Taylor's much better than remembered.

    This.

I loved Taylor (still gutted over the Chavez fight LOL), but I think Spence's physicality, engine, and down-hill approach get to Meldrick late.
