To anyone fighting at 147. I think Errol would be a very serious problem h2h for anyone at that weight and is currently in my top 10 for discussions.

Not one person who disagreed has said why or made a list.

Do you want me to name every single boxer who competed at 147...?

    No.

The man in my avatar never even had a world title to his name (though he quite arguably should've), and he would've boxed and punched the ears off Spence.

So you’re not favouring him over Sugar Rays, Hearns, Duran, Sweet Pea, Benitez, FMJ, Trinidad, Paul Williams, Quartey, Forest, Donald Curry, Napoles, Gavilan, Basilio and of course Terence Crawford along with others.

How the hell is he top10 exactly?

Not to mention, It’s very much debatable whether he’d be favoured over the prime versions of Pac, Oscar and Mosley.

Did I say those are the "only" 147 fighters id favor Spence over? He asked me for some names and I gave some.

Well, I think your earlier words pretty much refute that contention.

Not exactly what you want going up against 2009 Pac.

That said, I think Spence is the best welter at this point.

It would help my case though, if he made the fight with Bud and beat him clearly.

Anyway, I don't think I would bet much on Spence beating the best versions of any of the following. He might fit somewhere in the second 10, h2h.

    Floyd
    Pac
    SRL
    Hearns
    Duran
    Oscar
    SRR
    Gavilan
    Napoles
    Griffith

Ugas, Horn, and Bradley aren't exactly speed demons. I'm aware that wasn't 2009 Pac but they lit him up pretty badly all throughout their fights.

Spence's chin, aggression, ring IQ, and power would offset the difference in speed and defense. Manny is just too small for the freight train that is Spence.

If he beats Bud convincingly I don't see how anyone can have him outside the top 10. Bud is just insane and a throwback fighter whose good at almost everything.

The sparring stories between Floyd and Spence make me think he has more than a chance. Apparently Floyd called him a b (fill in the blanks) and Spence forced him to get back in the ring and they went at it for quite some time. He earned Floyd's respect.

Leonard would definitely be a problem with his mobility. It depends on how he reacts to those devastating body shots and if he can maintain his speed.

Duran might be too small and he'd be wide open for those brutal uppercuts on the inside.

Osscar gets destroyed if Spence gets past his jab.

Hearns and SRR I have to favor them for now.

There's not much point in continuing this discussion if you're not a serious poster, dude.

Ugas fought a 42 year old Pac in 2021, a good 12 years past the prime 2009 version.

And neither Bradley nor Horn came close to beating Pac, regardless of how the judges scored those fights.
If you had those kinds of dodgy judges, sure, Spence could well get a decision over Pac.

But not the 2009 version because judges would not have been needed.

Yes, and he was too small for Margarito and Cotto as well.

I expect he WILL beat Bud, and I wouldn't be surprised if he does it inside the distance.
But while Bud is a top welter today, his resume is hardly sterling. A victory over Bud settles the question of who is top dog in the here and now. It's not sufficient tp catapult Errol into top ten all-time.

Sparring is very different from fighting.

Best version of Leonard ends this before the halfway mark.

Did I ask if you were serious ?

    Duran too small ?

Iran Barkley might have a laugh at that idea.

Oscar was faster, had a better chin, and hit harder. There's no category where Spence is better. He would be a clear underdog there.

    That's generous.
